Charles was born September 21, 1915 to Cyril and Clara Hodkinson in Sioux City, Iowa. He was a retired school custodian and was loved by teachers and students of the school. He loved storytelling and was known as a jokester by family.

Charles was proud of his lineage. He enjoyed traveling and loved to collect rocks and was known as a "rock hound." He was also a solid man of faith and was dedicated to his church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Beulah; and a son Gerald.

Survivors include three daughters: Judy Boyles, Clara Knutson and Gayle Puopolo; eight grandchildren: Eddie Ceco, Sandy Ellison, Pamela Benjamin, Gerald Hodkinson Jr., Karen Peyer, Kathy Marker, Larry Barnes and Kimberly Alexander; and 11 great- grandchildren.

' Survivors include two sons, James T., Medford, and Lee M., Portland, and five grandchildren. Mr. Neff's wife, Loma, died last year. When the Neff family first came to the county they lived in the area now known as Black-well hill, and later near the site of Talent. As a boy he attended, school in Central Point and remembered well the late "Professor" Hall, well known early-day teacher in this county.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Dan Andrews; and mother, Bernetta Andrews.
