Visitation is from 5:00 to 9:00 PM on Friday, March 25, 2016, at the Wintz & Ray Funeral Home in Yankton. The visitation will resume one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church.

Pallbearers are Troy Brown, Quentin Brown, Cory Braunesreither, Bruce Pokorney, Sean Kraai, and Kole Simonsens.

Josephine Braunesreither was born March 18, 1915, in Yankton, South Dakota, to Frank and Pauline (Kucher) Pokorny. She grew up on the farm in the Yankton area and attended country school. She worked for a few years as a housekeeper for some of the area farmers. She married Arthur Braunesreither on December 22, 1937 and lived on the farm with Arthur's parents until moving to their own farm a few years later. They moved to Yankton in 1957 and Josephine worked for Mean's Cleaners and Royal Cleaners and Laundry for a few years. She then began working at Freeman Company in Yankton which she continued until her retirement.

Josephine enjoyed gardening, crocheting, and dancing. She loved her family very much and will be dearly missed.

Survivors include her four children: Lawrence Pokorny, Harold Braunesreither, Adeline Brown, and Linda Braunesreither all of Yankton, South Dakota; 16 grandchildren; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; three sisters-in-law: Loretta Braunesreither, Myrna Pokorney, and Lily Pokorney; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arthur on November 8, 1967; son, Marvin Braunesreither; five sisters: Rose Moore, Helen Simons, Emily Hladky, Agnes Hojem, and Alice Snoozy, and four brothers: Edward Pokorny, Charles Pokorny, Clarence Pokorny, and William Pokorny.

Haar in Freeman. She preceded him in death in 1971. The couple lived in Yankton prior to moving to Medford in 1937. While in Yankton, he worked as a farmer and in Medford was a carpenter for Oregon Sugarpine Company in Central Point, Ore. He was a member of the Lutheran Church. Survivors are two sons, Walter and Edwin, both of Medford; a daughter, Alyce Myers, Medford; a brother, Emil Frohreich, Yankton; three sisters, Elsie Dubs and Mary Frohreich, both of Medford and Lee (Louise) Ness, Lake Grover, Orel; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers and a grandchild.1

Besides her husband, she leaves eight children: Rose, Rudolph, Esther, Berna, Mary Jane, LaVerne, Darlene and Donald Ray Frohreich, all at home in Medford. Also two brothers and two sisters residing elsewhere. Funeral announcements will be made by Conger funeral parlors upon word from relatives in North Dakota who are expected here for the services.2

Mrs. Dubs was born March 30, 1899, in Yankton, S.D. On Sept. 18, 1918, in Yankton, she married Reinhard Jacob Dubs, who died in 1980. A 67-year member of the Apostolic Faith Church, she had served as a missionary. Survivors include a son, Arthur Dubs, Medford, five daughters, Lillian Dubs, Marie Jones and Barbara Brown, all Medford, Millie Friesen, Central Point, and Lois Frymire, Olympia, Wash; two sisters, Mary Frohreich, Medford, and Louise Neff, Lake Grove; 21 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild. A daughter and a grandchild preceded her in death.2

She later worked for Whiteclaw Candy Company as a chocolate dipper and retired after 37 years of service. Alyce was a member of Apostolic Faith Church for 77 years, with her faith in God being her number one priority. She enjoyed sharing her memories about growing up in Yankton on a farm and going to school with a horse and buggy. Her favorite activities to do in Oregon included huckleberry picking, fishing, hunting, going to the coast and camping. Alyce was always kind, had a smile on her face and had a wonderful sense of humor. Words cannot express how much she will be missed by her family and friends. She was the best Mom ever. Alyce is survived by her son, Ronald (Martha) Myers; grandsons, Lance Myers, of Casper, Wyo., Scott and Steven Myers, both of Medford, Ore., and Kevin Myers, of Corvallis, Ore; six great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and brother, Edwin (Ruth) Frohreich. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Myers; son, Kenneth Myers; and brother, Walter Frohreich. A viewing will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 23, 2011, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m., at Memory Gardens Chapel.

She was a homemaker, and active in the family business. Surviving are her husband, Lee of Lake Oswego; sons, William Neff of Boulder, Colorado and Thomas Neff of Boston, Mass; a sister, Mary Frohreich of Medford; and five grandchildren. Interment was in Portland Memorial Funeral Home Mausoleum.
