A funeral service for Eugene will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at the Farber Funeral Home in Reedsburg with Chaplain Daniel Farber officiating. Visitation will be on Monday from 4:00-7:00 P.M. and again on Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Burial will be made in the Baptist Pine Hill Cemetery in Rock Springs.

When their land in Sumpter was taken from them for the Powder Plant, the family moved to North Freedom. Here he farmed with his dad and brother. On August 14, 1960 he was united in marriage with LaDell Thies. He was a dedicated farmer, enjoying big machinery, and repairs, and dairying.

He is sirvived by his wife, LaDell Shimniok of North Freedom; 3 children, Mark Shimniok of Baraboo, Susan (Jeff) Grossenbacher, and Jamaes Shiumniok of Reedsburg; 2 grandsons, Tyler and Zacary; a sister, Ruth (Marvin Licht) of North Fr4edom; a brother, Ernest Shimniok of Rock Springs; a brother-in-law, Lyle Baumgarten of Lime Ridge; 2 special nieces, Pam and Angie, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and frinds.

He was preceded in death by his sister Lorna; and his son, Kevin.

Warren, son of Aaron and Lucy "Violet" (Knight) Trager was born Dec. 14, 1929. He attended Baraboo High School as well as an Ag Short Course at UW-Madison. On April 23, 1955 he was united in marriage to Martha Rueckheim at St. Matthew Evangelical Lutheran Church in Wilton. During his working career, Warren was employed as a Supervisor and Foreman for Nickles Electric in Madison. He was a member of IBEW Local Union 159, BATS (Badger Area Technical Society) as well as First United Methodist Church in Baraboo. Warren was a lifelong farmer and electrician and loved the land. He also loved spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include his loving wife of 65 years, Martha of Baraboo; children, Sharon (David) Schlieckau, Karen Knuth, all of Loganville and Bruce (Joann) Trager of Baraboo; he is further survived by seven grandchildren, Lora (Scott) Dadam, Heidi (Mark) Kruse, Kris (Zach) Klemp, Melissa (Derek) Lorbiecki, Jason (Ashley) Knuth, Joshua (Michelle) Trager, Aaron (Rebecca) Trager; 15 great-grandchildren as well as other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Orlin and Lowell Trager; son-in-law, Durlin Knuth and sister-in-law, Evelyn (Litscher) Trager.

Private services will be held at First United Methodist Church in Baraboo with Pastor Marianne Cotter officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family. The Redlin Funeral Home is assisting the family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Patricia Kimpfbeck; his uncles, Ken Kimpfbeck and Jim Kimpfbeck; and cousin, Jim Kimpfbeck.

Richard is survived by his wife, Heather; his sister, Debra (Terry) Smelcer; and niece, Lacee DeeVi Smelcer; aunt and uncle, Judee and Jim Wickus, and uncle, Don Kimpfbeck, and many other relatives.

A funeral service is being held on Friday September 4, 2020 at 2:30 p.m. at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Baraboo, WI. Visitation will be held from 1:30 p.m. until time of the service at the church.

Mary was a physical education teacher in Illinois at the elementary level. She enjoyed the simple things in life and enjoyed spending Tuesdays visiting her mom and attending family get togethers.

Survivors include her mother, Dorothy; siblings, Therese (Olaf) Wick, Ann (Juan) Lopez, Michelle (Salvador) Leon and Michael Alt; nieces and nephews, Jason, Kristin, Jordan, Joey, Jesse, Marcos, Sebastian; and great-nephew and niece, David and Ella. She is further survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, J. Merle Alt on May 14, 2019.

Selma was born July 25, 1924 in Sauk County, WI, the daughter of George and Martha (Schrofer) Emery. She married Walter M. Ruda on Sept. 4, 1942, at Christ Lutheran Church, Greenfield Township. They farmed together many years in the township of Merrimac and celebrated 51 years of marriage.

Selma was a Member of St. Johns Lutheran Church in Baraboo and an active Homemakers Club member for over 58 years. For many years she served as a 4-H Project Leader for Sewing and Food projects. She enjoyed gardening and was known for growing beautiful flowers. She and her husband sold produce and honey produced on their farm, and Selma enjoyed meeting and talking with their customers. She loved to fish and to bowl and won awards with her teammates at bowling tournaments. She was an avid fan of the Packers, the Badgers football and basketball teams, and High School basketball tournaments. She will be very much missed by her family and friends.

Selma is survived by her children, Patricia Bullard of Reedsburg, Janet (Henry) Schlieckau of Reedsburg, Kenneth (Patricia) Ruda of LaCrosse, five grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and by several extended family members, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Walter Ruda in 1994, her parents George and Martha Emery, sisters Evelyn (Emery) Millard and Louella Emery, and brothers David Emery, Alvin Pete Emery, Lester Emery, Gerald Jake Emery, Russell Butch Emery and Arnold Emery.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at St. Johns Lutheran Church, 624 East St., Baraboo, WI, with Reverend Tim Kuske officiating. Interment will follow in Walnut Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. at St. Johns Lutheran Church on Wednesday.

On Sept. 25, 1948 she married Bill Falk; he preceded her in death on May 26, 1973. After graduating she began working for Bell Phone Company for eight years as a telephone operator. Ruth also worked as a payroll clerk at Badger Ordnance. Most recently and most importantly she worked as a benefit specialist for the Sauk County Commission on Aging until her retirement. Ruth enjoyed volunteering her time as Secretary for the Senior Center and enjoyed the activities there.

Survivors include her children, Kathy (Tom) Bush of Verona and Dick (Diana) Falk of Sun Prairie; granddaughters, Katie Bush of Madison and Kelley (Nicholas) Berger of Wauwatosa; she is further survived by her sisters-in-law, Mary Custer and Barbara Tomlinson; brother-in-law, Thomas Falk as well as, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill; siblings, Donald Schroeder, Alice Kindschi.

A Prayer Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 13, 2019 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Baraboo Senior Center. The Redlin Funeral Home is assisting the family.
