She then attended the University of Miami, Florida, where she obtained a Master's degree in anthropology. She con- tinued her studies at the University of Anthropology and Archeologyin Guttingen, Germany, Province of Hanover, and graduated with a P.H.D. She also studied in Egypt at Al Haiz. Gisela worked in archeological digs in Venezuela, Orkneys Isands North of Scotland, East of Munich in Germany, and also in Algeria and Tunisia. Gisela traveled extensively and was employed by National Airlines, Royal Dutch Airlines, Lufthansa Airlines, and Braniff Airlines, working customs/immigraton, passenger service and as a flight crew translator. Gisela was a talented artist and vocalist and enjoyed performing with the Theatre Guild in Baraboo and Fort McCoy. She also sang with the San Francisco Opera on tour in Los Angeles, California. Gisela had a great love for books and volunteered at Edgewood College and the University of Wisconsin after moving to Madison in 1989. Gisela was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, W. Guenter Wolters. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 17, at 3:00 p.m. at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Reedsburg. There will be a visitation at the church from 1:30 until the time of the service. Burial will be in St. Peter's Church cemetery.

Eunice was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church of Leland where she was the director of the choirs, Sunday school teacher and active in the Women's Organization. She was actively involved as a 4-H leader, and in Homemakers and enjoyed bowling, crocheting, and card groups. Her pride in prospering as a homemaker/housewife was in her labors in selling eggs that her chickens produced, boarding school teachers, selling Avon, working in the Sauk Prairie Memorial Hospital Nursing Home, and cooking at the Tower Rock School until her retirement. She is survived by 3 children: Shirley (Alan) Albers of Plain, Kathryn (Nick) Lester of Prairie du Sac, Ronald (Barbara) Mallon of Janesville; Son-in-law; Duane Trachsler of Plain; 9 grandchildren: Steven (Jeanne) Trachsler, Thomas (Kristeen) Litscher, Gail (David) Meyer, Terrianne (Drake) Bradbury, Todd (Nadine) Litscher, Bryan (Jocelyn) Mallon, Craig (Elizabeth) Lester, Karen Lester, Scott (Amy) Mallon; 3 step-grandchildren: Greg, Jeff and Brent Albers; Granddaughter -in-law; Cheryl Trachsler; 14 great-grandchildren: Matthew and Garrett Trachsler, Ben, Ashley and Anna Meyer, Austin, Sydney, Kiana and Ross Litscher, Rachelanne and Lauren Bradbury, Andrew and Emma Lester and Sydney Mallon; Step-brother: Raymond Wolter; Step-sister-in-law: Lillian Wolter. He was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters. He is survived by brothers, Robert C. (Joan) of Orange City, Fla., and Richard of Portage. He is also survived by sons, DoWayne L. Jr. (Diane) of Monona, William J. (Terri) of Madison, Warren J. (Wanda) of Windsor, Joseph V. (Kelly) of Madison, and Jason A. (Stacie) of Madison; as well as 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews and many extended family.

Services will be held at MADISON PENTECOSTAL ASSEMBLY CHURCH, 5109 E. Buckeye Road, Madison, on Friday, Aug. 3, 2012, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. with Pastor Darren Price presiding.
