Death2 October 2014William Paul Seils Sr. died on 2 October 2014 at age 91 William Seils, Sr., 91, of Racine, passed away Thursday, Oct. 2, 2014 at Ridgewood Care Center. William was born in Baraboo, July 26, 1923, the son of Otto P. and Louise E. (Koepp) Seils. After graduating from Baraboo High School, William went on to become a dairy farmer in Baraboo. He worked the farm from 1940 until 1962. He then moved to Racine and worked at Nearing Grocery in Sturtevant until 1988, then at the same location for Rudy’s South Grocery store, retiring in 1998. William was an avid golfer, and longtime member of the Sturtevant Men’s Golf League at Ives Grove Golf Club. Both of his sons, Bill and Tim, golfed with their dad on this league. William was a big Packers fan, loved to take long walks, and enjoyed watching his favorite teams play on TV — the Bucks, the Brewers, and of course golf. After he retired he went on to work part-time at Maplecrest Golf Club in Kenosha, and golfed there with his favorite golf buddies. He was a gentle and kind man, with a smile for everyone he met. He will be dearly missed by his sons, William (Lisa) Seils, and Timothy(Susan) Seils; beloved grandfather, also known as Grampa Hi-Ya Bob, to Robert (Anita) Seils, Jason (Rachael) Seils, and Nicole Seils; and a much-loved great-grandfather to Addison, Cayden, Jaxon and Levi. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert; and sister, Marjorie. Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 6, 2014 at Heritage Funeral Home, 9200 S. 27th St., in Oak Creek.
