Jerry operated the Muscoda theater for many years. He served in the Army during the Korean War, and he was a proud veteran, and Democrat.

Returning to the states, he moved to Indiana where he worked in the insurance industry until 1969 when he returned to Muscoda to enter the supper club business with his sister and brother-in law Norma and Gene Morgan and his brother, Jake Linscheid. In 1973, Jerry married Jan (Nelson) Mosser. As a family, together they operated the Blackhawk and Manhattan supper clubs for many years, providing casual dining at its finest. Many great memories were made at the Blackhawk and the Manhattan supper clubs.

In 1989 Jerry, Jan, and his sister Norma opened Peaches restaurant in Richland Center, keeping the supper club tradition alive. The Supper Club world was very important to him and to all he loved. Jerry then sold the business in 2005 and retired. He was a wonderful brother, husband, stepfather, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, godfather, and friend.

Jerry was preceded in death by his wife, Jan (Nelson) Linscheid, his parents Carl and Virginia Linscheid, sister Norma Morgan, brother Jake Linscheid, and brother-in-law Eugene Morgan, his mother-in-law Rethel Nelson and father-in-law Andrew Nelson.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday December 11, 2024, at 11:00 AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Muscoda, WI. Burial with military rites will follow in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held at St. John's Gym in Muscoda from 9:30 until the time of the Mass at 11:00 AM.

Gilbert was born on Sept. 30, 1920, in Iowa County, the son of William "Bill" and Leona (Hudek) Drager. He was united in marriage to Margaret Mary Connor on May 15, 1945, at St. Philip's Catholic Church, Highland. She preceded him in death on Sept. 25, 1987. Gil graduated from Highland High School in 1938. He worked at Dick's Supermarket in Platteville for 30 years, from 1957 until 1987, retiring as produce manager. After retirement he worked for Dick's Supermarket, Platteville, part-time. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Knight's of Columbus. He loved to fish, and enjoyed all the visits with his nieces and nephews. He is survived by his sister, Leora Richgels of Cross Plains; sister-in-law, Gail Drager of Mazomanie; and adopted family, Ron and Betsy Richgels of Highland, and their family; along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was further preceded in death by his parents; brother, Merle; sister, Feral; brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Joan Benish; and brother-in-law, Melvin Richgels. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2009, at ST. MARY'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, Platteville. Monsignor Charles Schluter will officiate. Burial will be at St. Philips Cemetery, Highland. Memorials may be made to the Gilbert Drager Memorial Fund. The Melby-Bendorf Funeral Home, Platteville, is serving the family.
