Catherine Elizabeth Helbing died on 8 March 2015 at age 84 Catherine (Katie) Elizabeth Tigges, 84, of East Dubuque, Illinois, formerly of Peosta, Iowa, passed away at the Bell Tower Retirement facility on March 8, 2015.

A Memorial Mass celebrating Katie’s life will be held at 11:30 am Saturday, March 14, 2015 at the Nativity Catholic Church, Dubuque, with the Rev. Jim Miller officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:30-11:30 am at the church on Saturday morning.

He received the South Pacific Operations Medal, the Philippines Liberation Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. In later years Dick and Lorraine attended many Army reunions. He worked for over 50 years at the Dubuque Packing Company. In his younger years he enjoyed, tennis, swimming, fishing and hunting. But most of all, he enjoyed time spent with his family and friends. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
