Ole was born on June 19, 1909 in Mohall, North Dakota, the son of John and Nicolene (Krogness) Rosby. At the age of three Ole and his family moved to Pope County. He attended School District #28 in Pope County and graduated from Fergus Falls High School.

Ole was united in marriage to Rosella Larson on October 6, 1938 at the Farwell Parsonage. After their marriage Ole and Rosella went into partnership with his father at the Phillips "66" Station in Farwell. In 1950, Ole took over the station which the family ran until 1971.

Ole also worked for the Phillips "66" Station in Alexandria from 1954 to 1960. In August of 1960, Harvey Gloege hired him and Ole retired from Gloeges on August 30, 1985.

Mr. Rosby died on Thursday, January 15, 1998 at the Glenwood Retirement Center.

He is survived by his wife Rosella of Glenwood; one daughter, Arlene Kirkwold and husband Larry of Hot Springs, AR; one son: Stan Rosby and wife Mary of Minneapolis; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Kenneth.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, January 24, 1998, 11 a.m. at Nora Lutheran Church with Reverend James Radatz officiating. The organist was Marlene Maanum.

Pallbearers were Stan Rosby, Larry Kirkwold, Tom Kirkwold, Trent Rosby, Tory Belgum and James Belgum.

Interment was at the Nora Lutheran Cemetery.

Services were directed by Petermeier's Alexandria Funeral Home.
