A lifelong resident of Sparta, with a three year stay in Beloit, Luella was the proprietor of Luella's Beauty Studio in Sparta for over 50 years. During that time, she was the president of the Sparta Jaycettes, a member of the Wisconsin Hairdressers Association, and a member of the Chamber of Commerce.

She was most proud of, and survived by her three sons, Oscar (Kathye) of West Bend, Lon of Sparta, and Rex (Marsha) of Beloit. She was blessed with seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Luella grew up with her three sisters, Virginia (Harold) Behrens of Kenosha, Eunice (the late Charlie) Riggs of Crystal Lake, IL, and the late Dorothy Jean Hagen of Fredericksburg, IA. She was preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy, her beloved granddaughter, Le Ann (Steele) Russell, and great-granddaughter, Hannah Russell.

Memorial services will be Saturday at 12 (noon) at St. John's Ev Lutheran Church, Sparta, with Reverend Mark Wessel officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Ev Ltheran Cemetery, Sparta.

Family and friends are invited to call at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Gundersen Lutheran Hospice, Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School, or St. John's Ev Lutheran Church, Sparta.

The Lanham-Miller Funeral Home, Sparta, is assisting the family with arrangements.
