Married Namebefore 1877As of before 1877,her married name was Paskert.
Married Namecirca 1897As of circa 1897,her married name was Birnbaum.
Life EventDateDescription
Birth8 December 1853Margaret Feldhein was born on 8 December 1853 at Bavaria, Germany, also reported as Dec 1851.
Marriagebefore 1877She married Theodore Paskert before 1877.
Marriagecirca 1897Margaret Feldhein married Henry Birnbaum, son of (?) Birnbaum, circa 1897.
DeathJuly 1914Margaret Feldhein died in July 1914 at age 60 A sad and sudden death occurred in Remsen last Sunday, when at eleven o'clock that night Mrs. Harry Birnbaum passed away after a lingering illness. Mrs. Birnbaum had just been brought home from a hospital at Sioux City, and while still seated in a rocking chair just after her arrival, she passed away suddenly.

Mrs. Birnbaum was born on December 8, 1853, in Bavaria. She remained there with her parents until at the age of twenty-three years she came to this country, settling at Dyersville, Iowa. During her residence there she was married to Theo Paskert and the couple moved to Plymouth County immediately. They settled on a farm near Oyens, where they resided for three years, after which they purchase a farm southeast of Remsen, and made that their home. The husband died ten years after coming to Remsen, and Mrs. Paskert remained on the farm. Later she was united in marriage to Henry Birnbaum, and after living on the farm for ten yeas more the family came to spend the rest of their days in town. During the past two years the lady suffered with dropsy and later complications set in. She was able to be about her housework continually almost to the time of her death, but during the last two weeks her ailments became more serious. On last Thursday she was taken, for treatment, to St. Joseph's hospital, Sioux City, but she returned last Sunday. Ms. Birnbaum's death came unexpectedly, shortly after her arrival home, and the suddenness of her departure was indeed a grievous shock to the family.

She was a truly Christian woman in every sense and her passing is mourned by the entire community. She lived so as to deserve the love and esteem that was extended her, and the family has the sincere sympathy of all in this hour of sorrow.

Besides the sorrowing husband there are four children left to mourn her death, namely, Mrs. Mary Klostermann, of Marshall, Minn; George, Pall and Anton Paskert, of Remsen.

The funeral was held yesterday morning at ten o'clock with services at St. Mary's church. The members of the R.C.M.P.S. and the Luxenburger Bruderbund, of which the widower is a member, also the members of the Catholic Women's Society, of which the deceased was a member, attended the ceremonies in a body. The relatives from a distance who attended the ceremonies are: Jas. Birnbaum, of Dell Rapids, S.D; Mr. and Mrs. Adam Pfeifer, of Cherokee; Mrs. Kaufmann, of Oyens; and Mr. and Ms. F.H. Klostermann, of Marshall, Minn.
BurialJuly 1914She was buried in July 1914 at Saint Marys Cemetery, Remsen, Plymouth, Iowa.
