She was born on Dec. 1, 1922, in Arena Township, Wis., the third of 10 children to Edward and Agnes (Powers) White. She graduated from the Arena High School in 1940. She was married in July 1943 in Oregon to Stanley Butler while he was in the military. Marion was a member of St. James Catholic Church, the Catholic Order of Foresters, the Moose Club, the VFW Auxiliary and the Grieg Club where she played many card games. For many years Marion reupholstered furniture and did many pieces of crewel stitchery. Survivors include three children, Mike (Bonnie) Butler of Mazomanie, Jeanne (George) Alt of North Freedom, and Dick (Delores) Butler of Belleville; seven grandchildren, Stephie Schepp, Janet (Marty) Parrell, Suzanne Butler, Brian Butler, Melissa (Jason) Goll, Matt Alt, Brandon Butler; 10 great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Deanna Butler, five brothers, Bernard (Bernice), Charlie, Jack (Irene), Ray (Darlene) and Dick (Jan) White; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Marion was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Agnes White; her husband, Stan Butler; a son, James Butler; three brothers, Bob, Earl and Paul White; and a sister, Helen Loy. Private family burial services will be held on Friday, March 25, 2011, at the Highland Memory Garden Cemetery. A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2011, at the RICHARDSON-STAFFORD FUNERAL HOME in Spring Green, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Sauk Prairie Memorial Hospital Foundation. The family wishes to thank the Greenway Terrace staff for their loving care to our Mom, Grandma and Great-Grandma.

He lived a healthy, active, independent life until the day of his stroke. He was born in Arena, on March 8, 1920, the first of ten children, to the late Edward and Agnes (Powers) White. He graduated from Arena High School in 1938. Bob married Marie Ingold on June 16, 1954, in Dodgeville. They shared 47 years of marriage before Marie's passing in 2001. Bob worked as a cement truck driver for many years working for King Lumber Co. and Kowalski-Kieler. After semi-retiring in 1986, Bob kept active by working part-time at Lieder's Parkview Mart and then at Wonder Wash. Bob was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family and his many friends and neighbors. Over the years he enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling, and an occasional ride to Dubuque, Iowa. He fondly remembered his many adventures through his story telling. He was a lifelong Cubs, Badgers and Packers fan who shared his enthusiasm of sports with his family, especially with his grandson, John. Bob is survived by his four children, Steve White of Wisconsin Rapids, Jo White (Tom Champan) of McFarland, Mary (Jim) Lieder of Dodgeville, Jim (Julie) White of McFarland; five grandchildren, Jody Lieder (Clint Hanek) of Evansville, John Lieder of Dodgeville, Kyle White of McFarland, Derek White of LaCrosse, Blake White of Camp Pendleton, Calif., and his step-grandson, Dustin (Angela) Lease and their children, Michael, Matthew and Marcus of Wisconsin Rapids; a sister, Marion Butler of Spring Green; six brothers, Bernard (Berniece) White, Paul White, Raymond (Darlene) White, all of Arena, Jack (Irene) White of Richland Center, Charlie White of Ridgeway, Dick (Jan) White of Mazomanie; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; a brother, Earl White; a sister, Helen Loy; and many other relatives and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, September 21, 2010, at. ST. JOSEPH'S CATHOLIC CHURCH in Dodgeville. Father Patrick Wendler will officiate with burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Monday at GORGEN-MCGINLEY and AYERS FUNERAL HOME in Dodgeville.
