She was the last of 12 children born to John A. & Olina (Stene) Olson of South Dakota. Though born in Beresford, South Dakota on February 21, 1925, she considered herself a southerner having lived in the south after she married in 1945. She was involved in the community of Kathleen during the latter part of her life. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, William R. Hatcher; daughter, Sandra Faulk (Ed) of Fullerton, CA, Dianne Davidson (Alvie), Ray Hatcher (Debbie), both of Lakeland, and Ed Hatcher of Suwannee, FL. She had 13 grandchildren, including two that preceded her in death. She had 9 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday March, 6, 2011 from 3-5PM at Lanier Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will be on Monday March, 7, 2011 at 10AM at Socrum Cemetery. Interment will be in Socrum Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to American Health Assistance Foundation, Macular Degeneration Research, 22512 Gateway Center Drive, Clarksburg, MD, 20871.
