He was born on October 27, 1951 in Reedsburg, the son of Herbert and Anola (Schwanz) Schuette. Jerry was a 1969 graduate of Webb High School. On July 15, 1972, he was married to the former Jeanne A. Adelman. He was a lifelong farmer in the Town of Reedsburg. He also worked at Lands’ End for many years. Jerry enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife: Jeanne; three children: Sarah (Travis) Schreiber, of Madison, Aaron (Jackie) Schuette, of Reedsburg and Abby (James) Bender, of Madison; seven grandchildren: Rowan and Beckett Schreiber; Lucas, Logyn and Bodey Schuette; Hugo and Dalton Bender; his sister: Kathy (Harold) Collies, of Fond du Lac; his brother: Ken (Leah) Schuette, of Reedsburg; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A private family service will be conducted on Friday, August 20, 2021 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Reedsburg with Father Patrick Wendler officiating. There will be a visitation from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Friday at the City Park in Reedsburg, across the street from Hoof Funeral Home. The family has requested no flowers or plants, but would rather have memorials made to Sacred Heart Catholic School.

She later went to work for Industrial Coils and retired from Flambeau after over 30 years of employment. In her free time, she enjoyed, camping, doing puzzles, word searches and bowling.

She is survived by her siblings, Karen Vogel, Carl Vogel, Debra Peetz, John Vogel, Eunice (Brian) Lonetree, Andrew (Linda) Vogel, David (Cat) Vogel, Gale Vogel, Emilie (Larry) Miller; sisters-in-law, Kathy Vogel and Linda Vogel; brothers-in-law, Edwin Poff, Junior (Lynette) Gurgel, Maurice (Margaret) Gurgel and Paul (Shelly) Gurgel; step-daughters, Quincy (William) Meseberg and Christy (Jason Putman) Hawkins; grandchildren, Harley and Jasmine; close nieces, Kimberly and Crystal as well as aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marv, and her siblings, Don Vogel and Dot Poff.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 13, 2024 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in North Freedom. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service at church. Inurnment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in North Freedom.

This marriage was blessed with two daughters. Brenda was employed as a Ward Clerk at the former Edward Snyder Nursing Home in Reedsburg for many years. She enjoyed watching NASCAR racing, the Packers and Badgers, and listening to music by Elvis. Brenda found comfort watching nature and wildlife and occasionally fishing.

Brenda is survived by her husband, Carl of Reedsburg; daughters, Tracy Kowalski (Jason Dobbs) of Richland Center, and Valerie (Jody) Fuller of Reedsburg; grandchildren, Christopher Bright, Kyle (Jessica) Hackney, Kacey (Nicholas) Lombard, Brenton Fuller, all of Reedsburg, Koleton Kowalski (fiance’, Katelyn) of North Freedom, Ryan Fuller (Katie), and Kaylyn Fuller all of Reedsburg; great grandchildren, Daniel Ward, Jaymeson Bright, Chase Hackney, Isla Lombard, Lucas Hackney, and Zayn Spears; sister, Christine (Doug) Colby of New Lisbon; dog, Baby Boo; nieces, nephews, many brothers and sisters-in-law along with other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Gail; and niece, Jennifer McKittrick.

Private family services for Brenda L. Vogel will be held at the Farber Funeral Home, Reedsburg followed by burial in Oak Hill Cemetery, North Freedom.

Vogel on June 23, 1984, at St. Peter's in Reedsburg, and they were married for 37 years. Linda had been a childcare provider in her home for 30 years before she retired. Together, she and Gale loved camping. They started out in tents, then pop-up campers, and finally camping in hard shells. Linda also liked flowers and growing tomatoes. She enjoyed birds and their birdhouses as well as collecting bells. She was a prior member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Portage.

She is survived by her husband, Gale Vogel, Portage; her children, LeAnn VanderWerff, Easton, Joseph (Michelle) VanderWerff, Oxford and Benjamin (Alexis) Vogel, Endeavor; her grandchildren, Garrick Staveness, Mikayla VanderWerff, Austin VanderWerff, Domanick Vogel and Cassadi Vogel; a great-grandchild, Oaklynn Staveness; her brothers and sisters, Sidney Brossard (friend, Marilyn), Mukwonago, Rodney (Diane) Brossard, Campbellsport, Dennis (Carol) Brossard, Beaver Dam, and Carol Brossard Albrecht, Cambria; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters, Gayle Brossard Zick and Sylvia Ann Brossard, her brothers-in-law, Terry Zick and Sheridan Albrecht, her sister-in-law, Nancy Brossard, and her granddaughter, Ava Mae Vogel.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 4, 2021, at PFLANZ MANTEY MENDRALA FUNERAL HOME in Portage (www.pmmfh.com), with Pastor Alan Boeck officiating. Jerry worked for many years as a farmhand for his uncle and aunt Herman and Lydia Burmester and then for his cousin Donny Burmester. He then worked many years for Kruckow Rock Products. Jerry was very active in attending many sporting events for his relatives. He always made sure his Aunt Lydia never missed a game. Jerry was a very giving person and was always willing to pitch in and help where he could.

He is survived by nieces and nephews and their children.

Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
