She will be deeply missed by her parents; Rick and Amy Vornhagen of South Yankton; maternal grandparents, Gary and Betty Kuchta of Hartington, NE; paternal grandmother, Cindy Vornhagen of South Yankton; six aunts and uncles: Shannon and Sherri Vornhagen of Crofton, NE, Scott Vornhagen of Buckeye, AZ, Roger and Christy Anderson of Coleridge, NE and Ann Kuchta of Yankton; and eight cousins: Kaitlynn, Keirra, Kolton and Jaycee Vornhagen, Brooke, Walker, Nikita and Daunte Anderson. Rena was preceded in death by her grandfather, Ralph Vornhagen and cousin, Ty Vornhagen.

Jim Keiter, and Monsignor Cyril Werner concelebrating. Burial will be in the St. Michael’s Cemetery in Hartington. Visitation will be at the church on Friday from 3:00 to 8:00 pm with a rosary at 4:00 pm and a vigil service at 7:30pm. Visitation will be one hour prior to services on Saturday at the church. Pallbearers are grandchildren, Christy Anderson, Melisa Abels, Kaylynn Studebaker, Tom Kuchta, Nathan Kuchta, Megan Kuchta, Travis Kuchta, and Tyler Kuchta. Lucille was born on April 7, 1935 in Wynot to Art and Beatrice (Kiefer) Fischer. She grew up in the Hartington area and attended Hartington Public School. She married Robert J. Kuchta on November 14, 1956 at Coleridge. For many years she operated a day care at her home. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, and sharing time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Family was the center of her life. She was a member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Guild, and Christian Mothers. Lucille is survived by her husband, Robert of Hartington, 6 children and their spouses, Gary and Betty Kuchta of Hartington, Carol Kuchta of Yankton, Judy and Clayton Studebaker of Yankton, Alan and Karen Kuchta of Wynot, Joe Kuchta of Wynot, and Kenny and Rhonda Kuchta of Hartington, 22 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 7 sisters and their spouses, Lorraine and Gerald Pedersen, Darlene and Jake Keiter, Pat and Orville Steffen all of Hartington, Shirley and Duane Lackas of St. Louis, MO, JoAnn and Warren Placek of Tyndall, SD, Ruth Fischer of Yankton, and Janice Hansen of Spearfish, SD, 6 brothers and their spouses, Gerald and Donna Fischer, LeRoy and Diane Fischer, Rod and Nancy Fischer all of Hartington, Keith and Sue Fischer of Greenville, TX, Ronald Fischer of Greenville, TX, and Don and Marlys Fischer of Clearwater, NE. She was preceded in death by her parents and twin infant brothers, Ray and Reynold Fischer.

Norman was born September 15, 1944 in Yankton, SD at Sacred Heart Hospital to Ludwig and Rosalia (Steffen) Lammers. He was raised on Lammers Ranch near Fordyce. He attended St. John the Baptist Elementary and graduated from Holy Trinity High School in 1962. He then attended Norfolk Junior College for 2 years and then enlisted in the US Army where he served at Ft Hood, TX. After returning home he complete his education at UNL in Agricultural Economics, graduating in 1969. After a year he returned home to Lammers Ranch to farm with his two brothers. Norman married Phyllis Kremer on August 5, 1972 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Crofton, Ne. He was an avid reader and looked forward to his campouts with his friends and family. Norman loved supporting his Trojans, Huskers and Twins. He had a great commitment to God and faith which he exhibited through his support of his parish and schools with his time and talent. Norman was a member of St. John the Baptist choir throughout his adult life and was active in 4-H, parish councils and school boards, the Catholic Order of foresters and the Blue Ribbon Committee. He also sang with the Men of Note for many years. Norman is survived by his wife Phyllis of Hartington, his four sons and spouses, Frank and Krisa Lammers of Hartington; Jon Lammers of Lincoln, NE; Chris and Jen Lammers of Lincoln, NE; and Nick Lammers of Omaha, NE; 4 special grandchildren, Owen, Aiden, Katherine and Elise: his two brothers Roger Lammers of Hartington and Kenny & Juanita Lammers of Hartington, three sisters, Janet & Ron Kramer of Pierce,NE, Kathy & Mick Reifenrath of Crofton, NE, and Judy & Rod Mace of Tyndall, SD. Norman was preceded in death by his parents; Ludwig and Rosalia Lammers, and his sister Rosemary Lammers.
