On December 22, 1979 she was united in marriage to James A. Cummings. Helen and James were blessed with six children.

Survivors include her five children; Vickie Harrison of Austin, TX, Jean (Charles) Stone of Beloit, Stacy Harrison of Tucson, AZ, Kelly (David) Buckingham of Dodgeville, and Jeffrey Harrison of Sauk City; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her biological and adopted parents, husband James, father of her children Clarence "Butch" Harrison; daughter Debbie Harrison, one great grandson; brother Raymond Borcher; biological brothers Edward Schuetz and Myron Schuetz; one biological sister Miriam Probart, and special aunt Hedwig Borchers.

Funeral service will be held Friday, June 3 at 11 AM at Zion Lutheran Church in La Valle with Rev. Robert Butler officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Lawn Cemetery in La Valle. Visitation will be held from 9 AM until the time of service at the church.
