Audrey worked as a secretary for the Reedsburg Farmers Co-op until her retirement. She was a lifelong member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid, a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the Reedsburg Senior Citizens. Audrey enjoyed playing cards and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include her daughter, Kristine (David) White, of Reedsburg; her son-in-law, Jerry (Jane) Dorow, of Reedsburg; five grandchildren, Jason Dorow, Julie (Bill) Schultz, Justin (Erick) Dorow, Aaron (Lisa) White and Amy (Kevin) Liddicoat; eight great grandchildren, Rylee Dorow, Chloe, Addison and Tenley Schultz; Adelyn and Ava White, Easton and Oliver Liddicoat; her sister, Betty (John) Zell, of Woodruff; her brother, Roger (Ruth) Reimer, of Reedsburg; nieces and nephews; other relatives and lifelong cherished friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul, on Feb. 8, 2003; her daughter, Kathleen Dorow; her parents; two sisters, Mary Schlecht and Joyce Steinhorst; and her brother, Edward Reimer.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2018, at St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 345 N. Pine St., Reedsburg, with Pastor Paul Crolius officiating. Interment will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery. There will be a visitation at 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church are appreciated. The Hoof Funeral Home is serving the family.

Axel was born in Tomaschowka, Poland to Sigismund and Marie Amanda (Schubert) Schlecht. He was baptized as an infant and confirmed his faith as a youth in a Lutheran Church in Germany. He grew up in Schleswig-Holstein before coming to America by himself on the USS Langfid troopship in his late teens, knowing no English. He arrived in America in New York, was moved to Minneapolis through the Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service where he worked in a textile mill, before moving to Reedsburg, WI. There he met his future bride. He married Mary Ann Reimer on June 24, 1961 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Reedsburg, WI. They later moved to Mauston, WI before finally coming to Adams-Friendship. He worked for 40 years as a telephone installer/repairman.
He loved biking, walking, and enjoying coffee with his friends. He was a good handiman, an avid soccer, Packer and Badger football fan, he liked to joke around and was always available when someone asked for help.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sigismund and Marie Amanda Schlecht; wife, Mary Ann Schlecht (1984); brothers, Wally and Erwin Schlecht; and granddaughter, Karisa Joy Schlecht.

He was born on December 11, 1934, in Morris, IL, the son of John and Edith (Gustat) Schultz. Don was united in marriage to the love of his life, Vernice Luetkens on July 19, 1952, in Loganville, WI. This marriage was blessed with four children. Together they shared an extraordinary 73 years of marriage, building a legacy rooted in unwavering commitment. The family is a reflection of the values they instilled.

A life-long farmer, Don poured his heart into the soil, working tirelessly to cultivate the earth and sustain his family. He believed strongly in the dignity of labor and made it his mission to teach the importance of hard work, respect for others and a deep appreciation for the land. His life revolved around three pillars: God, family and farming.

Beyond the fields, Don found joy in mentoring the next generations. His hands-on guidance helped to navigate the challenges of rural life and passing down practical knowledge.

Don was an active member of St. John Lutheran Church, Loganville, and an avid bowler in the day.

Don was preceded in death by his parents; father and mother-in-law, Lorenz and Ruth Luetkens; brother-in-law, Norbert Luetkens; sisters-in-law: Delores A. “Tootie” (Wilbert “Bill”) Harms, Vera Mae (Orville) Hahn and Marlene Koenecke.

Don is survived by his wonderful wife, Vernice (Luetkens) Schultz; children: Mike (Sue) Schultz of Reedsburg, Gary (Mary) Schultz of Rice Lake, Diana (Dan) Curtin of Reedsburg; and Dwayne (Dee Ann) Schultz of Poynette; 14 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; brother, Rollie (Karen) Schultz of Baraboo; brother-in-law, Marty Koenecke of Reedsburg; along with nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Donald James Schultz will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at St. John Lutheran Church in Loganville with Pastor Tim Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery, Loganville. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday at the Farber Funeral Home in Reedsburg, and on Wednesday morning from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the church.

Meyer, who passed away on October 30, 2024 surrounded by her family at the age of 90. Polly was born on March 12, 1934 to Walter and Ethel (Smith) Eastman. She was a loving wife, mom, mother-in-law, grandma, great-grandma, and great-great grandma, leaving behind a legacy of Christian faith, family love, and unity. At the young age of 12, Polly lost her mother and was raised by her older siblings as she was the baby of 8 children. Polly would usually be outside on the farm in her bib overalls and pig tails with her dog named Giggs trying to keep up her older siblings that she admired greatly. Polly had a love for music. She played the accordion in her earlier years until she developed arthritis and started playing the keyboard. Polly played at many weddings, anniversary parties and night clubs in a couple different bands called "The Danceable Ones" and "The George Duren Orchestra". Later in life she played at many different nursing homes and she had a Friday night gig at the Loganberrie Inn. Polly loved to attend music festivals that had Polka music and Waltz music. You would find Polly on the dance floor kicking up her heels. She was a devoted member of the Bill Anderson fan club. During her spare time you would find Polly listening to the radio or watching the Lawrence Welk show. At the age of 19, Polly was set up on a blind date, her friendâ€s brother, Merlin Meyer. There were joyous times of going on many dates to different dance halls and playing cards. In 6 short months Merlin and Polly were united in marriage on May 15, 1954. Shortly after being married, they became parents to their three sons that they adored and are very proud of, Mark, Evan and Craig. They celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary this year. In earlier years, Polly worked at Woolen Mill for a short time then became a homemaker and musician. Once the kids were in school, she worked part-time at Beisberâ€s veterinary clinic that was next door to their home. In her later years she worked at Lands†End until she retired. Polly enjoyed spending time with family, going to church on a regular basis, bowling, playing numerous different card games, doing word search puzzles, pitching horseshoes, and shooting pool. Merlin and Polly always enjoyed a good Friday night fish fry and spending late nights at someoneâ€s house playing cards and sharing stories. Polly loved her jewelry and was honored to share it with her daughters-in-law, granddaughters, great-granddaughters and great great-granddaughters. Polly is survived their three sons and daughters-in-law; Mark & Marti (Gardner) Meyer, Evan & Linda (Meyer) Meyer and Craig & Becky (Fleming) Meyer, all of Reedsburg. Their 6 grandchildren (spouses); Nick (Erika) Meyer, Jason (Angie) Meyer, Ryan Meyer, Courtney (Ryan) Donovan, Kelsey (Eric) Hineman and Craig Jr. (Taylor) Meyer. Their 18 Great grandchildren (spouse): Nathan Meyer, Emma Meyer, Ashley (Nick) Smith, Megan Meyer, Bentley Meyer, Owen Meyer, Raelyn Meyer, Dawson Meyer, Kayleigh Meyer, Anna Meyer, Kenny Meyer, Reagan Donovan, Torin Donovan, Carter Hineman, Libby Hineman, Finn Meyer, Emmie Meyer, and Jack Merlin Meyer. Their 2 Great-Great Grandchildren: Amanda Rego and Ellie Smith. She is also survived by his sister-in-law, Pearl Wilburn, along with many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Ethel Eastman; her siblings, Joseph Eastman, Leo Eastman, Marie McWilliams, Robert Eastman, Blanche Eastman, Betty Senger and Walt Eastman, Jr., along with her parents-in-law and many other brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Pearl was born February 5, 1933 in Sauk County, WI, the daughter of Reinhard C. and Emma D. (Meyer) Meyer. She graduated from Webb High School in Reedsburg in 1950. She moved to Flint, MI where she owned and operated a gas station for several years. From there she moved to Pikeville, TN where she owned and operated a country convenience store. Working with people was something Pearl enjoyed and thrived at.

Having the gift of hospitality, Pearl loved hosting, was a fantastic cook and her home was always decked out for every season. She was kind hearted, quick witted, spunky and enjoyed helping others. She was also passionate about nature, and enjoyed working with plants and animals.

As a member of North Freedom Baptist Church, Pearl enjoyed a close-knit community of good friends. She especially enjoyed the musical events and potlucks. Her famous meatballs were always a hit.

Having no children of her own, Pearl adored her nieces and nephews and enjoyed spending time with them. She is survived by eight nephews; two nieces and their families.

With her tenacious spirit and faith, Pearl persevered through many obstacles in life. She was the last one standing of her generation. She is preceded in death by her parents; four sisters; three brothers and one nephew.

Pearl will be missed by family and close friends. She will always remain in our hearts.

A Funeral Service will be held Friday, July 17, 2026 at 1:00 P.M. at Grasse Funeral Home in Reedsburg with Pastor Andy Johnson officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:30 A.M. until the time of service on Friday. Interment will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Rock Springs.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Ruth (Lawrence) Clark, Adeline (Donald) Ewing and Elsie Berning; a brother-in-law, Bill Giese and a sister-in-law, Lorraine Meyer.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, 2007, at the Hoof Funeral Home in Reedsburg with Pastor Ray Harms officiating. Interment will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Rock Springs. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home and from noon until the time of service on Thursday at the funeral home. She was an inspiration to many people because of the grace and dignity with which she dealt with the numerous obstacles that were put upon her. Through her faith and trust in God, she taught us that each day was a gift to embrace. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Katie Hagen, Elsie's "special friend and caregiver until the end", and to the Don and Marilyn Anderson HospiceCare. She is survived by her sons, Michael (Ellen) Berning of Sun Prairie, and Brian (Vicki) Berning of LaValle; sisters, Pearl Wilburn of Pikeville, Tenn., and Avonda Giese of Baraboo; brothers, Norbert (Lorraine) Meyer of Madison, Merlin (Polly) Meyer of Reedsburg, and Gerald Meyer of Baraboo; nieces and nephews, along with other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Ruth (Lawrence) Clark and Adeline (Don) Ewing; brother-in-law, William Giese; and nephew, David Clark. Funeral services will be conducted at noon on Saturday, Aug. 21, 2004, at FAITH LUTHERAN CHURCH in Reedsburg, with Pastor Tod Vertz officiating. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery in Rock Springs. Friends may call on Saturday, Aug. 21, 2004, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials of remembrance may be made to the family. The Farber Funeral Home, in Reedsburg, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
