Adele was born on April 11, 1928 in Dubuque, Iowa, the daughter of Raymond and Edith (McClain) Jenaman. She was a graduate of Dubuque Senior High School, Class of 1946. She married LeRoy E. Dalen on August 2, 1947 in Dubuque. He preceded her in death on March 3, 2004.

Adele was a homemaker. She loved attending the Diamond Jo Casino and thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Surviving are five children, Lyle (Pat) Dalen of Rochelle, Ill., Mark (Mary Jo) Dalen of East Dubuque, John (Sue) Dalen of Shabbona, Ill., Frank (Cindy) Dalen of Eldridge, Iowa and James (Sarah) Dalen of Dubuque; eight grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; and a sister, Jeanette (Donald) Miller of Portland, Oregon.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Edith; her husband, LeRoy; one brother, Charles Jenaman; and two sisters, Lorraine Vonk and Mildred Roddick.
