She was born on March 25, 1912, in Dubuque, daughter of John and Frances (Brandt) Kieler.

She entered the Sisters of St. Francis on Oct. 6, 1935, and made final profession of vows Aug.10, 1941.

Sister ministered as a music teacher in the Iowa cities of Dubuque (Holy Ghost), Waterloo (St. Mary), Fillmore, Worthington, Ossian, Remsen, Ashton, Granville, Stacyville and Luxemburg; she also ministered in Crescent City, Calif.

Sister is survived by her sister-in-law, Marion; her nieces, nephews; and her Franciscan sisters with whom she shared 77 years of her life.

Sister was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Lillard (Hazel); Ralph (Teresa), Irwin, Carl (Patricia); and her sisters, Flora (Frank) Lambert and Mae (Arlington) Rice.

Memorials may be given to the Sisters of St. Francis, Dubuque.

She attended the former St. Vincent Academy and graduated from St. Joseph's Academy, both in Dubuque.

Surviving are a daughter, Ann Marie (Ronald) Kann, of Dubuque; seven grandchildren, Kevin (Laurel) Kann, Debra (Jerry) Finkenauer, Keith (Mary) Kann, Tom (Paula) Kann, Steve (Nancy) Kann, Linda (John) Netti and Lisa (Mark) Kruser; 16 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.

She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Janet, on Oct. 3, 1993; and a grandson, Jeffery Michael Kann, in 1974.

Clair was born on May 20, 1923, in Kieler, Wis., the son of Charles and Josephine (Kunkel) Kieler. He married Joan T. Budden on Feb. 23, 1949. Clair farmed in the Kieler and Hazel Green area all of his life. His five sons all carry on in the agricultural industry. Mark farms in Darlington, Mike (Kathy) is a large animal veterinarian in Spring Green, Matt (Joan) is a technician at Accelerated Genetics in Hazel Green, Carl farms in Hazel Green, and John (Linda) farms in Hazel Green. He has 10 grandchildren, Kenny Kieler of Darlington, Joey Kieler of Platteville, Heidi (Jeff) Ferguson of Boston, Mass., Ashley Kieler of Madison, Dan (Molly) Kieler of Hazel Green, Jenny (Eric) Salis of Potosi, Nathan (Ashley) Kieler of Belmont, Katelyn Kieler of Hazel Green, Jacob Kieler of Hazel Green, and Luke Kieler of Hazel Green; one great-grandchild, Hallie Salis; one brother, Floyd Kieler of Tennyson; and one sister, Mary Ann Melssen of Dickeyville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Josephine Kieler; and siblings, Margie, Ambrose, Andy, Charles, Harvey and Jimmy. Clair was actively helping on John's farm, feeding calves and cows, up until his 90th birthday. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting deer in Wisconsin with his sons and grandsons, and trips hunting mule deer in Wyoming. Joan and Clair enjoyed traveling and watching the Packers. Clair was also fond of fishing trips with his sons and grandkids as well as babysitting his two youngest grandsons, Jacob and Luke. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 4, 2013, at ST. JOSEPH'S CATHOLIC CHURCH in Sinsinawa, with the Rev. Francis Steffen officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday at CASEY FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES in Cuba City.

Floyd was born on November 4, 1927, in Louisburg, Wisconsin, to Charles and Josephine (Kunkel) Kieler, and grew up on the family farm in Kieler. He attended Kieler grade school and Loras Academy for high school and ROTC School. He was joined in marriage to Ellen Kohn on December 30, 1950. Floyd served his country as an army sergeant in the Korean War. Floyd was also a proud John Deere worker, retiring in 1987.

Floyd was a man of many talented gifts but his greatest talent was the gift of carpentry. He constructed beautiful pieces for his family and friends. Whether it be a small repair or a complete bedroom outfit, it was always done with great detail. He loved to play cards with anyone that was willing, with his favorite being "Solo." He also loved being outdoors tending to his yard or garden. No matter what anyone needed, Floyd was always willing to give a helping hand.

Floyd also loved spending time with his family, whether it be his children, grandchildren or great-grandchildren. He always had time for you.

Floyd's faith was of the utmost importance to him being a member of SS. Andrew-Thomas Parish in Tennyson.

Floyd left behind four daughters, Diane (Dave) Konshak, of Cuba City, Denise (Ed) McKenzie, of Potosi, Donna (Tom) Digman, of Hazel Green, and Dena (Jay) Udelhofen, of Potosi; one son, Rodney "T-Bone" (Sheila Jansen) Kieler , of Cuba City; and a daughter-in-law, Dana Kieler, of Dickeyville. Floyd also left behind seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, two step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; one step-great-great-grandson; and a sister, Mary Ann Melssen, of Dickeyville.

Floyd was reunited with his wife, Ellen; three sons, Roy, Roger, and Richard "Dick"; and his parents, Charles and Josephine Kieler . He was also reunited with his sister, Margaret Melssen, and his six brothers, Ambrose, Leander, Clair, Charles, Harvey and James.

After selling the bar, Mary Ann ran Grandma’s Daycare for 25 years. She was a member of the Holy Ghost Council of Catholic Women and was president of the Catholic Order of Foresters Court 228. Mary Ann enjoyed quilting, gardening, dancing, traveling, playing cards, but most of all, she enjoyed time spent with her family and friends. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

He was also a field rep. for Vigortone Products Company for 11 years. In 1941, he organized a baseball team in Kieler and managed it for 12 years. He started his own business in Kieler, Kieler Feed & Seed Co., Inc. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Francis is survived by 3 daughters: Janet (Leo) Friederick of Dickeyville, WI, Joan (Gary) Studier of Rockford, IL and Bonita “Bonnie” (Steve) Maring of Kieler, WI; 2 sons: Gary (Peggy) Kieler and Frank Kieler, both of Kieler, WI; 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Martin Kieler; along with nieces and nephews.

Martin served 16 years as a Grant County Supervisor and 12 years as a Jamestown Township Supervisor. Martin loved the game of baseball and was a left-handed pitcher for many semi-pro teams in the area. He was a member of the 700 Bowlers Club, Ducks Unlimited, NRA, and Catholic Order of Foresters. He bowled on leagues for 43 years, played horseshoe and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Martin’s favorite pastime was dancing with his sweetheart “Marcie” to Big Band music.

She was a resident of Dickeyville for 55 years, moving to Dubuque in 1993.

She was a member of Holy Ghost Parish in Dickeyville.

Hilda's 88 years encompassed world wars and the Great Depression. The courage, faith and wisdom she gained from these experiences were passed on to her family and friends.

She loved her family, enjoyed music and the outdoors and had a ready sense of humor.

Surviving are two daughters, Sr. Patricia Kieler , SDS, of Milwaukee, and Patricia A. (David) Nemmers, of Winfield, Kan; a son, Ralph L. (Dorothy) Kieler , of Dubuque; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandsons; two sisters, Viola "Ole" Steiger, of Woodstock, Ill., and Pearl Brandt, of Lancaster, Wis; two sisters-in-law, Celine Schmitz and Sylvia Schmitz, both of Lancaster; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Marie Schmitz; five brothers, Vernon, Maynard, Orville, Leo and Leroy "Ben" Schmitz; and three sisters-in-law, Loretta Schmitz, Velma Schmitz and Rose Schmitz.
