She was full of life, loved to travel the world, and play bridge. She was deeply proud of her Mauston, WI heritage, and was devoted to her Catholic faith and charities. She will be deeply missed. Ellen is survived by sisters Alice Clark of Dubuque, Iowa and Rita (Richard) Goepel of Hartland, Wisconsin. She is also survived by her nephews and nieces, Patrick (Deb) Goepel, Richard (Deb) Goepel, Daniel Goepel, Chris (Kirk) Udovich, and Stephanie McGarty. She is further survived by grand nephews and nieces, RJ and Danielle Goepel, Anthony and Paul Goepel, CeAnn and Kylee Udovich, as well as many friends. Ellen was preceded in death by her parents Pat and Jane McGarty, brother Jim, and brother-in-law Richard Clark. Visitation will be from 9am until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10am on Friday, Jan. 9 at The Church of St. Mark, 2001 Dayton Ave., St. Paul, MN.

The remains were brought to Reedsburg, Monday night and the interment occured Tuesday in the Winfield Catholic Cemetery.

Mr. Conway was for a number of years a farmer in the town of Winfield and was well known in this vicinity. Of late years he and his wife, have resided in West Superior.

The deceased is survived by his wife, six sons and one daughter, besides one brother John Conway of this city.

Those coming from Superior with the remains and to attend the funeral were Mrs. Thomas Conway, wife of the deceased, his sons John, Henry, James, William, Thomas Jr., and the later's wife, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Rowe, Mrs. Rowe being the daughter, Hugh Donley and William Donley.
