| Death | 10 March 2019 | James Arnold Johanneson died on 10 March 2019 at Wagner, Charles Mix, South Dakota, at age 70 James Arnold Johanneson was born on March 16, 1948 to Severt and Viola (Millage) Johanneson in Geddes, SD. He graduated from Andes Central High School in 1966.
Jim married Carol Benda on October 15, 1966 and the couple settled on a farm northwest of Lake Andes where he farmed most of his life. He was a member of First Lutheran Church in Lake Andes. Jim enjoyed watching western movies, playing cards, sudoku puzzles and fishing.
He passed away at Wagner Community Memorial Hospital in Wagner on Sunday, March 10, 2019 at the age of 70.
Jim is survived by his wife, Carol of 53 years of Lake Andes, SD, 4 children, Kristi Camack of George, IA, James (Amelita) Johanneson of Sioux Falls, SD, Tracy (Glenn) Sohl of Madras, OR and Mary (Chad) Schave of Sioux Falls, SD, brother, Ray (Cindy) Johanneson of Lake Andes, SD, 2 sisters, Violet Johanneson of Mitchell, SD and Alma Miller of Houston, MN.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers and 2 sisters. |
