Dorothea was born Sept. 11, 1906, to Anton and Theresa (Burbach) Pick in Bow Valley. She married Louis T. Kleinschmit Feb. 24, 1936, in Bow Valley. He died March 23, 1980.
She grew up in the Bow Valley area. After her marriage, she and her husband farmed west of Bow Valley. They retired and moved into Bow Valley in 1974. She had been a resident of the Park View Haven Nursing Home, Coleridge, since Feb. 13, 2000. She was a member of the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Bow Valley, the Rosary Club and the Christian Mothers. Survivors include three sisters-in-law, Loretta Pick, Bow Valley, Mary Kleinschmit, Bow Valley, and Agatha Kleinschmit, Hartington, and 45 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, Anthony L. Pick and Edwin Pick, and one sister, Martha Foecke.

Visitation will continue Wednesday morning 1 hour prior to service time at the church.
Pallbearers are Norman Schurman Jr., Gene Mauer, Vernon Kleinschmit Jr., Andrew Kleinschmit, Marvin A. Manas Jr., Scott Kleinschmit and Cory Sudbeck.
Agatha was born on June 16, 1912, in Hartington, to Fred and Theresa (Uhing) Wiebelhaus. She grew up in the Hartington and Bow Valley area. She was married on October 9, 1935, to Andrew Kleinschmit in Bow Valley, NE. She and Andrew farmed in the Menominee area. Agatha worked at the Charles Gurney Hotel, Stuelpnagel Industry, Gurney's Seed and Nursery for 12 years, all in Yankton, and has been retired for many years. Her husband Andrew died on Nov. 23, 1970. Agatha was a former member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, Menominee, NE, member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Fordyce, NE, Christian Mothers, and Ultreya. Agatha loved quilting, canning, bird watching, food dehydrating, trying new recipes and gardening. She especially enjoyed her huge family and many friends and every family gathering.
Her memory will be cherished by her seven surviving children and spouses: Gertrude and husband, Chan, Shippy, Colome, SD; Grace and husband, Don, Mauer, Creighton, NE; Vernon and wife, Patty, Kleinschmit, Pearl City, Hawaii; Duane Kleinschmit and friend, Diana Masterson, Crofton, NE; Marie and husband, Marvin, Manas, Utica, SD; Galen and wife, Betty, Kleinschmit, St. Helena, NE; Andrea and husband, Edmund, Sudbeck, Hartington, NE; her special guardian angel, Lori Lammers; 46 grandchildren, 70 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters: Dolores Hildahl, Sioux City, IA; and Rita Holcomb, Sioux City, IA; one brother, Dan and wife, Mary, Wiebelhaus, Fordyce, NE; three sisters-in-law: Wallie Wiebelhaus, Center, NE; Mary Kleinschmit, Hartington, NE; and Beverly and husband, John, Riibe, Wynot, NE.
Preceding Agatha in death were her parents; husband; two daughters: Karen Ann and Bonita Kleinschmit; two grandchildren: Mark Schurman and Bonita Kleinschmit; two great-grandchildren: Eric and Megan Mauer; a son-in-law, Merv Zwanziger; three brothers: Herman, Frederick and infant John Wiebelhaus; and five sisters: Julia Ketter, Olivia Schieffer, Florentine Reifenrath, Edna Cook and Elsie Waddell.

Military honors will be provided by the Crofton American Legion Post 128. Burial will be in St. Boniface Cemetery at a later date. Visitation is from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, December 26, 2019, at the Wintz & Ray Funeral Home in Yankton, South Dakota, with a rosary and vigil service at 7:00 PM.

Pallbearers are Doug Schurman, Mike Manas, Kelly Mauer, Troy Schmitt, J.R. Kleinschmit, Cory Sudbeck, Kyle Kleinschmit, Lepiro Kantai. Honorary pallbearers will be his goddaughters and grandchildren.

Duane C. Kleinschmit was born November 9, 1943 in Menominee, Nebraska to Andrew and Agatha (Wiebelhaus) Kleinschmit. He grew up on the farm near Menominee and graduated from Crofton High School in 1962. He enlisted in the United States Army and served in Panama as a paratrooper. After he completed his service in the army he returned to the family farm near Menominee which he eventually took over and farmed until 2004 when he retired and moved to Yankton, South Dakota. While he was farming he also drove the school bus. He loved visiting with the kids and would make beef jerky for all the kids on his route.

Duane was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, the American Legion, and The Center in Yankton. He loved visiting with friends and family and enjoyed going for coffee. He loved making salsa from his garden, jelly from his fruit trees, beef jerky and wine. He was a generous, kind and welcoming man who would help anyone who needed a hand, picking up hitchhikers and inviting them to supper or even to a Christmas Party. He loved dressing up as Santa Clause on Christmas and visiting with children. He enjoyed watching politics and westerns and was always ready for a card game. He loved spending time with his family and especially loved his grandkids.

Survivors include his significant other, Linda Abbott of Yankton; seven children: Toni (Phillip) Stahl of Yankton; Camille (Francis) Kantai of Wayne, Nebraska; Ellie Mae Kleinschmit of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Pamela (John) Dickes of Wayne; Agnes (Brad) Wissink of Lincoln, Nebraska; Andrew (Shelby) Kleinschmit of Omaha, Nebraska; and Danielle (Tony) Becker of Tea, South Dakota; 15 grandchildren; three sisters: Gertie (Chan) Shippy of Colome, South Dakota; Gracie (Don) Mauer of Plainview, Nebraska; and Andrea “Andy” Sudbeck of Fordyce, Nebraska; two brothers: Vernon (Patty) Kleinschmidt of Pearl City, Hawaii and Galen (Betty) Kleinschmit of St. Helena, Nebraska; brother-in-law, Marvin Manas of Utica, South Dakota; Linda’s son, David Smith of Yankton and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Bonita; three sisters: Karen Kleinschmit, Bonita Kleinschmit; and Marie Manas; and brother-in-law, Ed Sudbeck.
