Death | 18 April 2014 | Bonnie Maxine Swenink died on 18 April 2014 at age 79 Bonnie Maxine Kaukl age 79, of Richland Center, passed peacefully on Friday, April 18, 2014 at Schmitt-Woodland Hills. Bonnie was born December 5, 1934 in Hillsboro to Edwin and Florence ‘Susie’ Swenink. Bonnie married Laverne Kaukl on September 17, 1955. She retired from Rockwell Automation after 25 years of employment. Bonnie and Laverne enjoyed many winters in Fountain Hills, Arizona. Bonnie was a die-hard Packer and Badger fan and was very proud of her Irish heritage. She lived her life to the fullest. Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Laverne and, their two children Kim (Ronnie) Kaukl of Plain, and Rene’ (Tim) Stoltz of Richland Center; three granddaughters Mariah Kaukl of Mazomanie, Cassie (Eric) White of Mazomanie, and Claire Kaukl of Plain; one great granddaughter expected arrival May 30, 2014; sister in-laws Lorraine Swenink of Arena, Kathleen Swenink of Reedsburg, Hazel Swenink of Cahokia, Ill, Geneva Schaefer of Platteville, and many other nieces and nephews. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Fred, Art, and John Swenink; sisters Juanita Liska, Wilma Lee and Edith ‘Gaye’ Stoddard; sister-in-laws Irene Swenink and Marvelene Kaukl; and brother- in-laws Al Schaefer, Clifford Lee, Arnold Liska and, Leonard Stoddard. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, Richland Center, at 11a.m on Wednesday, April 23, 2014, with Monsignor Roger Scheckel presiding. Burial will be in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery following the service. Visitation will be held at Stafford Funeral Home, Richland Center, on Tuesday, April 22, 2014, from 4 p.m until 7 p.m Visitation will also be held at the church on Wednesday from 10 a.m until the time of the service. The Stafford Funeral Home in Richland Center is assisting the family with the arrangements. |

Death | 5 February 2017 | Laverne Kaukl died on 5 February 2017 at age 81 Laverne James Kaukl age 81, of Richland Center, passed peacefully on Sunday February 5, 2017 at Schmitt-Woodland Hills. Laverne was born February 19, 1935 in the Town of Bloom to William and Helen Kaukl. Laverne married the love of his life Bonnie Swenink on September 17, 1955. In his early years he was a cheesemaker then became a Salesman for Gardner Bakery and District Sales Manager for Frito Lay. He retired from Frito Lay after many years of employment. Laverne and Bonnie enjoyed many winters in Fountain Hills, Arizona. Laverne was a die-hard Packer and Badger fan. He was very proud of his Bohemian heritage and once a year he was an Honorary Irishman on St Patrick’s Day. But declaring the day after “St. Wenceslaus” day for the Bohemians. He lived his life to the fullest. Survivors include two children Kim (Ronnie) Kaukl of Plain, and Rene’ (Tim) Stoltz of Richland Center; three granddaughters Mariah Kaukl of Mazomanie, Cassie (Eric) White of Mazomanie, and Claire Kaukl of Plain; two great grandchildren June and Waylon White, sister Geneva Schaefer of Platteville ,sister in-laws Lorraine Anding of Arena, Kathleen Swenink of Reedsburg, Hazel Swenink of Cahokia, Ill,and many nieces and nephews. Laverne was preceded in death by his wife Bonnie ,his parents William and Helen, brother William ,sister Marvalene ,sisters in law Juanita Liska, Wilma Lee and Edith ‘Gaye’ Stoddard; Irene Swenink ; and brother- in-law Al Schaefer, Fred, Art, and John Swenink, Clifford Lee, Arnold Liska and, Leonard Stoddard. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, February 10, 2017 at 11:00AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Richland Center. Monsignor Roger Scheckel will officiate with burial in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at the Stafford Funeral Home in Richland Center from 4:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M. and again on Friday at the church from 10:00 A.M. until the time of Mass. Death | 3 February 2010 | Rita Ann Feiner died on 3 February 2010 at age 87 Rita, age 87, of Plain, passed away peacefully on Wednesday at the Sauk Prairie Memorial Hospital. She was born to Frank & Amelia (Gruber) Feiner. Rita married Norbert Bauer on Oct. 19, 1948, and had lived on the farm since their marriage. Norbert preceded her in death just 69 days ago on Nov. 27, 2009. Rita was a member of St. Luke's Catholic Church and the NCCW. Mom will be remembered for the many acts of kindness that she showed to all those around her. The work of her hands showed in all the quilts that she made and afghans that she crocheted and donated to the Ronald McDonald House. Mom loved her flowers and raised a garden each year. Mom, we will miss you so much, you have taught us so many things. All those memories will help to support us until we can all meet again. We love you. She is survived by her loving children, Audrey (Jim) Blau, Eileen (Gary) Hasheider, Neil (Jean) Bauer, Glen (Theresa) Bauer and Dale Bauer; grandchildren, Sheila (Eric) Williams, Sara (Troy) Anderson, Ray (Heather) Hasheider, Rachel (Brandon Laboets), Ross Hasheider, Corey, Stacey, Emily, Josh, Christopher and Lucas Bauer; great-grandchildren, Zach and Anne Williams, Blake and Ashley Anderson, Gavin, Owen and Carson Hasheider; brothers, Francis (Delores), Cyril (Lorraine), Valentine (Barb), Dick and Stanley Feiner; sisters, Dorothy Brickl, Virginia Altenbach, Sr. Pauline Feiner and Gerry (Jim) Frank; sister-in-law, Marie Bauer; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives. She is further survived by a very special and dear friend, Marcy Stauffacher. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Norbert; grandson, Todd Blau; her parents; a sister, Caroline Guttman; brother, Ralph Feiner; and several brothers and sisters-in-law. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Luke's Catholic Church in Plain with Father Bill Nolan officiating. |
