He was born Jan. 18, 1930 in Milwaukee, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ferdinand Kohlmann. He married the former Mildred Wendt July 14, 1967 in Appleton. Kohlmann had been the branch manager of the Jaeger Baking Company of Watertown for the past five years. He was a graduate of Messmer Catholic High School, Milwaukee, and was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, Mildred, one son, David of Milwaukee, one stepson, Timothy J. Faust of Camp LeJeuene, N.C., three daughters, Mrs. Mary Kay Baker of Milwaukee, Nancy of West Bend and Susan at home, one stepdaughter, Mrs. Michael (Melanie) Beck of Menasha, his father, Ferdinand of Milwaukee and one sister, Mrs. Sidney (Dolores) Hibbard of Morrow, Ark. Kohlmann is further survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Ruth was born in Sauk County on August 10, 1926 to Leo and Wilma (St. Claire) Wegner. She graduated from Reedsburg High School and later worked at Badger Army Ammunition Plant in Baraboo.

Ruth was united in marriage to Herbert Dargel in Washington D.C . on January 27, 1946, where he was serving in the U.S. Marine Corps.

Ruth was a member of Zion Lutheran Church for many years and also past treasurer for the Village of Lime Ridge. She worked for the U.S. Post Office part-time and then as postmaster in Lime Ridge for more than 20 years.

Ruth belonged to the Sauk County Homemakers and went on many bus trips with the group to such places as Branson and Pigeon Forge. Her interests included embroidery, quilting, stamp collecting and over the last 20 years she loved to do counted cross-stitch.

Ruth also enjoyed going on road trips and to car shows with the Model A club she and Herb belonged to. She tracked all their miles going through the countryside viewing places with the best fall colors. Over the years, she gave much of her time providing loving care for her mother and helping her sister, Helen, at the Badger Steam and Gas Show. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, sisters and brothers-in-law, Victor and Lorraine Powell, Edgar and Helen Nobs and grandson Ryan Dargel.

She is survived by: her husband, Herbert; sons: Gerald (Ellen) Dargel; Dan (Janet) Dargel; granddaughter, Carmen (special friend Jared Manske); brother, Johnnie (Annie) Wegner; sisters-in-law: Eva Mittelsteadt; Mabel Wagner; brother-in-law: Frank (Pauline) Dargel; many nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services for Wilma Dargel will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 11, 2010, at Zion Lutheran Church in La Valle with Reverend Paul Butler officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. at the Farber Funeral Home in Reedsburg and on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Memorials can be made to Zion Lutheran Church.

A wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend is now at peace with our Lord.
