After he retired, he enjoyed making wood projects in his basement. He also enjoyed planting marigolds in his backyard and watching them grow. Fred also enjoyed fishing and hunting.

He is survived by two daughters, Marthlena (Dean) Schellenberger and Paula Thies; his loving grandchildren, Ron (Jenna), Andrew (Sara) and Jennifer as well as one great-grandson, Luke. Fred is further survived by brothers and sisters, Orrlen (Sharon), Ed (Elsa), Eldoris, Gert and best friends, Don (Dorothy) Harms and many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, and his beloved dog, Max!

He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Margaret; sister, Mary; sister-in-law, Glee; and loving dog, Roscoe.

Survivors include her four children: Duane Nobbs, of Loganville; Virginia (James Jr.) Kruschke, of Reedsburg; Dennis (Heather) Nobbs, of Hampshire, Illinois and Linda (Brett) Cunningham, of Reedsburg; six grandchildren: Dayna (Drew) Wood, James (Lila) Kruschke III, Zach Cunningham, Olivia Nobbs, Ashley Cunningham and Aidan Nobbs; four great grandchildren: Archer and Lochlyn Wood; Allison and Austin Kruschke; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, on February 19, 2013; her grandson: Philip Kruschke; her parents and her sister: Eleanor Thieding. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, August 10, 2018 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Loganville with Pastor Donald Glanzer officiating. Interment will be in St. Peter's Cemetery. There will be a visitation from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the service on Friday at the church. Born April 13, 1924, in Reedsburg, Wis., she was one of 11 children of the late Ernest and Pearl White. She grew up on a dairy farm in Reedsburg and married Francis Costerisan, an Army sergeant Dec. 5, 1944. They had four children, Francis Costerisan Jr. and wife, Joan, of Hendersonville, Daryl Costerisan and wife, Lee Anne, of Collegedale, Tenn., Marji Costerisan Tipton and husband, Tom, of Knoxville, Tenn., Bruce Costerisan and wife, Jayne, of Ft. Payne, Ala. and were blessed with six grandchildren.

She was an active member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church for many years and a member of Fletcher Seventh-day Adventist Church at the time of her death. She and her husband moved from Ft. Payne, Ala., to the Fletcher Park Inn, Fletcher, on Feb. 2, 2002.

For the past 10 years, she fought a courageous battle with cancer. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends, but she had the blessed hope of the new earth and heaven where no more sickness or death will exist.

In addition to her husband and children, she is survived by a brother, Dwayne White and wife, Louise of Reedsburg, Wis.: and two sisters, Idana Noel and husband, Robert, of Walla Walla, Wash. and Dolores Bakken of Madison, Wis.

A graveside service will be at Resting Green Cemetery in Ironton, Wis., at a later date. Memorials can be made to Fletcher Academy Inc., P.O. Box 5440, Fletcher, N.C. 28732.

Forest Lawn Mortuary is assisting the family with the local arrangements.

Steiner, of Milwaukee; Duane (Patte) Steiner, of Baraboo; Connie Braun, of Milwaukee; Ronald (Eugenia) Steiner, of West Baraboo; Laura (Scott) Holtz, of Escondido, CA and Mark (Kelly) Steiner, of Reedsburg; eight grandchildren: Rob, Erik, Jeffrey, Kelli, Kimberly, Phillip, Kyle and Cierra; three step grandchildren: Trena, Treva and Trisha; six great grandchildren; nine step great grandchildren; one step great great grandchild; two sisters: Donna (Harvey) Terre, of Madison and Mavis Lins, of Princeton, IL; two sisters-in-law: Carol Steiner, of Mazomanie and Christine Leaf, of Prairie du Sac; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bob, on June 27, 1999; her daughter-in-law: Dale Steiner; a grandson: Daniel Steiner and a step grandson: Tracy Farnsworth. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, February 18, 2013 at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Reedsburg with Pastor David Glesne officiating. Schrank, age 55, died on Friday, September 8, 1989, at a Reedsburg nursing home following a courageous battle with cancer. Survivors include her husband, Roland; two sons, Rick of Reedsburg, and Randy (Lori) of Anchorage, Alaska; two daughters, Cindy Ihlenfeld of Madison, and Cheri Schrank of Reedsburg; a grandson, Joshua; her father, George Schutz of Reedsburg; three brothers, Delbert Schutz of Waunakee, Kenneth Schutz of Loganville, and Eugene Schutz of La Valle; four sisters, Donna (Mrs. Michel) Connor of Waunakee, Maxine (Mrs. Allyn) Bauer of Madison, Marilynn (Mrs. Ron) Rebman of Oregon, and Connie (Mrs. Eugene) Krayer of Reedsburg; several nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Florence Schutz in January of 1973. Funeral services will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 13, 1989, at SACRED HEART CATHOLIC CHURCH in Reedsburg. Father Donald Wiecki will officiate. Expressions of sympathy to the American Cancer Society-Sauk County chapter would be appreciated. The Hammer-Hoof Funeral Home in Reedsburg Is serving the family.

Donald was born on January 20, 1933, in Westfield Township, Sauk County, Wisconsin, the son of the late Paul and Minnie (Schlieckau) Luetkens. On December 5, 1998, Donald was united in marriage to Mary Farrell in St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Plain.

Donald graduated from Reedsburg High School. He grew up on the family farm in Loganville Wisconsin. He worked with his brother Ferdinand and aunt Lydia taking care of cows.

Donald enjoyed going to church, he was a member of St. John Church in Loganville, helping out with Orphan Grain Train, and he liked going to Luetken’s Family Reunions to catch up with relatives. He enjoyed spending time writing in greeting cards to people he knew. Donald would keep up with news going on where ever he was and could hold a conversation quite well. In his later years, when living in a Nursing Home (Maplewood of Sauk Prairie), he enjoyed playing Bingo and Yahtzee. A visit from relatives was a treat for him which he especially enjoyed.

Donald will be missed by his sisters, Anita Luetkens of Shorewood Wisconsin, Erma (Chris) Hill of Hope Valley South Australia, Elaine Stickler of San Diego, CA; Nieces; Lisa (Ben) Garbisch of Arpin Wisconsin, Theresa (Matthew) Hartley of Greenwith South Australia, Pam Stickler of California, Tammy Stickler of San-Diego California and Bonnie Stickler- of Arizona.

In addition to his wife Mary, Donald was preceded in death by a half-brother, Ferdinand Luetkens and his aunt, Lydia Luetkens.

Funeral services for Donald A. Luetkens will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 26, 2018, at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, Loganville, with Pastor Tim Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery, rural Loganville. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John Ev. Lutheran Church (380 Walnut St, Loganville, WI 53943).
