Life EventDateDescription
Birth6 December 1947Sharon K. Rego was born on 6 December 1947.
She was the daughter of Anthony William Rego and Dorothy C. Berberich.
Marriage1 April 1967Sharon K. Rego married Andrew Charles Hess, son of William Godfrey Hess and Lorraine Iva Clark, on 1 April 1967.
Death12 October 2024Sharon K. Rego died on 12 October 2024 at age 76 On October 12, 2024, our dear mother, Sharon Hess was called home and returned to the arms of her heavenly family and her beloved husband Pete after a short illness. Sharon was born on December 6, 1947 to Dorothy and Anthony Rego, the youngest of eight children. Sharon met the love of her life Andrew "Pete" Hess shortly after he returned from the Vietnam War and they were married on April 1, 1967. Together they had four children, Tony, Andy, Steve, and Sara whom they raised on a farm on Eli Valley Road near Loganville, WI. They retired off the farm in 1990 and spent their remaining years in Loganville.

Sharon was an active member of St. Patrick's of Loreto for over 50 years and was active in the CCW and in the Loreto Leftovers Homemakers Club. She was a housewife, farm manager, child care provider, and volunteer in her church and community. Sharon was known for being a wonderful cook and won cooking contests. If you ever had the pleasure of eating her cheeseburger soup or famous gravy you can count yourself lucky. Sharon took great joy in raising and caring for her children and grandchildren and was her husband's caregiver as his health failed. She also loved reading, puzzles, trying new recipes, thrift store shopping and singing in the church choir. A good day for mom was a rainy day in her favorite chair with a good book, a cup of tea and a warm blanket. If someone called or stopped by to talk it was a perfect day.

Our mother was quiet, kind, gentle and loving and always did her best to care for everyone in her life, whether it was a warm meal, a handmade blanket, or a helping hand, she could always be relied on. Mom raised us to always keep our promises. Mom, we promised to let you go when you asked and as hard as that was for us, we kept our promise, you are free from your pain.

Sharon was preceded in death by her husband Pete in 2021, siblings: Kay (Herman) Grosklaus, Ellie (Corky) Pollari, Dorothy (Buddy) Giebel, Roy (Shirley) Rego, Dan Premo, Agnes (Clarence) McCluskey, Adam (Janice), Alva (Tom) Roessler, Albert, Sharon and Trudy.
