Clifford was born on May 6, 1927 in Harrison Twp., Grant County son of Leonard and Violet (Kreiser) Langkamp. He was united in marriage to Darlene Udelhoven on July 14, 1953 at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, Tennyson. He graduated from Platteville High School in 1946. Clifford worked at John Deere Dubuque Works for 31 years from 1955 – 1986, where he was an inspector. Clifford was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Platteville, where he volunteered many hours for the church and for St. Mary’s School. He was enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing volleyball at the Langkamp family reunions, vacationing and working with his hands.

Clifford is survived by his wife, Darlene; two children, Mary Langkamp of Platteville; Roger (Carolyn) Langkamp of Asbury, IA; four grandchildren, Matthew (Katie Woodmansee) Langkamp, Cheyenne Langkamp, Chris (Jamie) Hazuga, and Peter Hazuga; three great-grandchildren, Sophie, Courtney and Maya Hazuga; one sister, Lorraine (Herb) Hottenstein of Platteville; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Kenny Langkamp, three sisters, Blanche Burbach, Ida Marie Linden and Velma Dolter.

Lorraine was born on October 19, 1928 in rural Potosi, the daughter of Leonard and Violet Langkamp. She graduated from Platteville High School in 1947. Lorraine was united in marriage to Herb Hottenstein on September 19, 1953 at St. Mary’s in Platteville. Together they enjoyed their farm in Lima Township. Lorraine worked as a secretary for John Deere, State Farm Insurance, and Buros Insurance which became Leibfried Insurance. She then retired from The House of Insurance, Platteville. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, CCW. She was Life Member of the American Legion Auxiliary and VFW Auxiliary.

Lorraine was an excellent wife and mother. She made farm chores fun for her children to do when they were young and always went all out to celebrate holidays with her family. She believed in creating great memories for her children, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. Lorraine also enjoyed family gatherings, playing cards and spending time with her grandsons. In the last few years of her life she enjoyed getting her hair done while having fun listening to and watching the antics of Karen Reynolds and Katie Abing. Lorraine will be truly missed by all who knew her.

Lorraine is survived by her husband, Herb; three children, Diane Hottenstein, Patti (Ron) Reynolds, and Dennis (Wendy) Hottenstein; two grandsons, Drew and Derek; brothers-in-law, Bob Burbach and Merv (Wanda) Hottenstein; and many nieces, nephews, and special friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Kenny and Clifford Langkamp; three sisters, Blanche Burbach, Ida Marie Linden and Velma Dolter.

She attended the Cornelia Country School and graduated from Potosi High School. She was a member of the Mount Zion United Church of Christ, Cornelia and the Rachael Rebekah Lodge 114, of Platteville. Dorothy enjoyed fishing, playing cards, knitting and spending time with her family.

Surviving are a daughter, Mary Lou (David) Jones, of Platteville; two grandchildren, Michelle Jones, of River Falls and Greg Jones, of Monroe; two sisters, Marion (LaVern) McClain and Luella Felderman, both of Platteville; a brother-in-law, Harold (Marjorie) McClain , of Potosi; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, Gretta Knox and two infant sisters; and two brothers, Clifford McPherson and Arthur Lee McPherson.
