Pete was born on Nov. 18, 1917, to the late Harold and Theodosia (Spensley) Peterson in Beresford, South Dakota. He married Elizabeth Betty Barger on Feb. 27, 1941, in South Sioux City, Nebraska. They moved to Lubbock in 1942, where Pete was stationed at Reese Army Corps Base. Together they had two children, Coleen and James Peterson. Betty preceded him in death on March 23, 2004, after 63 years of marriage. On Jan. 22, 2005, Pete married Loy Mills in Dawson County, Texas.

Pete was involved in a variety of activities. He was a board member for Goodwill Industries, and was active in, Lubbock Lions Club, Lubbock Boys Ranch, Down Town Bible Class and First Baptist Church, Lubbock Gun Club, Seniors are Special and Lubbock Meals on Wheels. He was awarded Boss of the Year for Lubbock as well as being a champion trap shooter. He was also involved with his church, Southcrest Baptist Church, and a member of Gleaners Sunday School Class. In his free time, Pete enjoyed photography and trap shooting. He also volunteered for Healthpoint.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Loy Peterson; two children, Coleen Peterson Jobe and James Peterson and wife Linda; three step-children, Dee Ann Doubrley and husband Tom, Cindy Bentley and husband Wesley and Kyna Threadgill and husband Joe; four grandchildren, Betsy Walker and husband Dale, Gerri Ann Peterson, Holly Malik and husband Javed and Keith Jobe and wife Rian; seven step-grandchildren, Nick Doubrley, James Doubrley, April Williams, Ethan Beeson, Nathaniel Beeson, Elizabeth Threadgill and Clay Threadgill; 12 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Lorraine Zeller.

Pete was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Memorials can be made to Lubbock Boys Ranch or a favorite charity.

The couple resided in rural Union County, S.D., where Henry was a lifelong farmer. Alveda died on Aug. 19, 1976. Henry continued to reside on the farm until October of 2005, when he moved to the Bethesda Home. Henry was baptized and confirmed at Peace Lutheran Church and later became a member of Union Creek Lutheran Church, where he was active in many different areas. Survivors include two sons, Daryl Fickbohm and wife, Beverly, of Alcester and Donald Fickbohm and wife, Joan, of Sioux Falls, S.D; five grandchildren, Doyle, Alcester, Alan and wife, Darla ,of Pierre, S.D., Barry and wife, Marcie, of Manhattan, Kan., Suzanne of Cherry Valley, Ill., and Michelle and husband, Duane, of Hot Springs, S.D; 10 great-grandchildren, Chad, Carrie, Candi and Corey Fickbohm, Matthew and Elizabeth Fickbohm, Jocelyn and Ethan Fickbohm and Kyran and Joshua Stanley; four sisters, Violet Siemers and Iva Siemers of Alcester, Wilma Siemers of Sioux Falls and Opal Keiser of Hawarden, Iowa; two brothers, Roy of Austin, Minn. and Clarence of Barstow, Calif; a brother-in-law, Clarence Larson of Beresford ; two sisters-in-law, Vergene and Irene Fickbohm of Akron; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Mrs. Fickbohm, the former Bertha Kathryn Staum was born August 22, 1918 to Anton and Mary Hanson Staum in Union County, South Dakota. She attended the Hillswood School in Union County and graduated in 1936 from Vermillion High School, Vermillion, S.D. She married Merl Fickbohm February 11, 1937 at Alcester, S.D. The couple farmed in the Alcester and Akron areas until moving to Akron in December 1974. Mrs. Fickbohm was a member of Union Creek Lutheran Church, rural Akron. She worked for several community projects, including baking for the hospital and serving Meals on Wheels. She also worked about three years for Taylor Draperies in Akron. Survivors include her husband Merl of Akron; two daughters, Mrs. James (Marilyn) Lyle of Denver, Colorado, and Mrs. Curtis (Elaine) Sandvall of Sioux Falls; two sons, Duane of Hawarden and Dwight Fickbohm of Akron; two brothers, Arnold Staum of Elk Point and Marvin Staum of Beresford; and 10 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one granddaughter, Trish Fickbohm and one grandson, Randall Lyle.

The couple farmed in the Beresford and Alcester area until retiring. They moved to Rapid City where Clarence began working again in road construction. They later moved back to Beresford. Evelyn died in February of 2000 and Clarence continued to reside here until the present time. He was preceded in death by his wife Evelyn, son Elwin, daughter Lois, parents Paul and Clara, 2 brothers, Ernest and Gordon, and one sister, Hazel. His survivors include his daughter Lila Milliken and husband Calvin of Irmo, SC; three grandchildren: David Milliken and wife Rebecca of Charleston, SC, Tami Allen and husband Fred of Irmo, SC and Beth Mangold and husband Tim of Darby, MT; 9 great-grandchildren; two brothers: Roger Larson and wife Kathryn of Rapid City, SD and Palmer Larson and wife Marion of Milwaukee, OR; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM, Thursday, May 7 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Beresford. A family burial at Roseni Lutheran Cemetery will be conducted prior to services. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4PM to 7PM with family present from 6PM to 7PM at Wass Funeral Home in Beresford.

A graveside service was held Saturday, March 14 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park – Hollywood Hills in Los Angeles, followed by a memorial service at First Lutheran Church in Van Nuys.
Mary was born May 13, 1942 to Richard W. and Wilma (Fickbohm) Siemers in Union County, near Alcester. She was baptized and confirmed at Peace Lutheran Church in Alcester.
She attended Prospect Hill country school and graduated from Alcester High School in 1960.
During her junior year at Concordia College in Seward, NE, her education was interrupted by the illness and death of her father. She found employment in Sioux Falls, later taking a job as secretary for Avis Rent-a-Car in Tucson, AZ.
She was united in marriage to Ronald Tickle on October 18, 1969 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Inglewood, CA. They bought a home in Van Nuys where she joined the First Lutheran Church.
Mary was a gifted musician and used this blessing playing piano and organ in worship services and singing in the choir. She was known for sharing her faith in her gentle care of others, calling on the homebound and infirm, delivering flowers, and making each person feel special.
Those who gratefully shared her life are her beloved husband of 39 years, Ronald Tickle; her mother, Wilma Siemers of Sioux Falls; her brother Richard Siemers of Tyler, MN; and a host of relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father.

Mr. Erichsen was born Feb. 18, 1900 in Van Horn. His family moved to Burlington, Colo., when he was a child. In 1915 he moved to South Dakota and worked for several farmers in the Alcester area. He later owned and operated a feed and fertilizer store in Alcester for over 25 years.

He married Ella Leona Fickbohm Feb. 22, 1926 in Elk Point. They lived in Alcester all of their married life.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Dean (Lavon) Cuthbert of Sioux City, Mrs. Ross (Audrey) Armstrong of Lakewood, Calif. and Mrs. James (Gayle) Nickel of Belton, Mo; one son, Dale of Alcester; 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
