On May 16, 1970, he married Alma Johanneson in Sioux Falls. Mike worked as an auto mechanic at Wagnild Chevrolet in Winona and Clason Pontiac in La Crosse and Brenengen Chevrolet in West Salem. He was a member of Looney Valley Lutheran Church. Mike was an avid Green Bay Packer fan and also enjoyed hobby farming and carpentry. He is survived by his wife, Alma; five children, Tammy (Dave) Johnston of Houston, Jannie Boldt of Houston, Eddie (Dawn) Engel of El Paso, TX, Michelle (Dan) Lamphere of Howard Lake and Brenda (Todd Onell) Miller of Oakdale; 13 grandchildren, Melissa (Dylan) Burrow, Alison (Nick) Culhane, Eric (Shannon) Boldt, Jessica (Matt Schwanbeck) Boldt, Heather (Tim) Johns, Michael (Rachel Haas) Boldt, Nicholas (Chelsey) Engel, Alex Engel, Desaray Turner, Scott Turner, Amber Lamphere, Ashlie Lamphere and Autumn Lamphere; eight great-grandchildren, Tucker, Shelby, Saleen, Rylee, Brantley, Aubry, Madyln and Dominic; brothers and sisters, Gilbert (Millie) Miller, Ward (Babe) Miller, Judy (Butch) Bakker, Marge (Gene) Baker, Dave (Bernett) Miller, Pam (Ray) Van Overschelde, Peg Miller and Laura (Kevin) Nelson; and many nieces and nephews.
