He was born on September 2, 1917 in the Town of Reedsburg, the son of Edward and Hulda (Baumgarten) Koenecke. Milt was a 1936 graduate of Reedsburg High School. He then attended a one year short course at the University of Wisconsin. Milt farmed for many years and he later worked for the City of Reedsburg until his retirement. He was a faithful member of St. John Ev. Lutheran Church and the Reedsburg Masonic Lodge #79 F & AM. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and raising his rat terrier dogs.
Survivors include two sisters; Lucille (Harold) Nullmeyer of St. Louis, Missouri and Dorothy (Ralph) Michelson of Madison; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister: Katherine Hensel.
Funeral services were conducted at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Reedsburg. Interment followed in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery.
