Mrs. Klopstad, the former Oline Johnson, was born May 18, 1888, in Union County. She was married Nov. 29, 1917, in Vermillion, Mr. Klopstad died Oct. 7, 1961.

Mrs. Klopstad lived in the Brule Creek area until moving to the nursing home a few years ago. She was a member of the Brule Creek Lutheran Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Walter (Bernice) Carpender of St. Paul, Minn. Mrs. Clifford (Amber) Jervik of Elk Point and Mrs.Harris (Ruth) Johnson of Beresford; as sister, Miss Ida Johnson of Elk Point; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Mrs. Jervick, the former Amber Klopstad, was born Sept., 30, 1921 in rural Elk Point. She graduated from Elk Point High School and Southern Normal at Springfield.
She taught in Union County and Goodwin, retiring in 1946. She married Clifford Jervik May 18, 1946 in South Sioux City.

Mrs. Jervik was a member of Brule Creek Lutheran Church and was an officer in the ALCW.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Eric (Marlys) Anderson of Akron, Iowa, and Jeanie Jervik of Vermillion; a son, Curt of Akron; two sisters, Mrs. Walter (Bernice) Carpenter of St. Paul, Minn. and Mrs. Harris (Ruth) Johnson of Beresford, and four grandchildren.

Services were conducted by members of Holly Rebekah Lodge of Searsboro.
Entombment was in the Masonic I.O.O.F. Mausoleum, Montezuma. The daughter of James and Diana Wolcott Saunders, she was born on March 9, 1886, near Forest Home in Poweshiek County. She was married to Frank Evans, and they farmed near Searsboro. Mrs. Evans moved into Searsboro after her husband’s death in 1961. She was a member of the Bunker Hill Booster Club and was a past noble grand of Holly Rebekah Lodge. She attended the Friends Community Church. She is survived by four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Leo Evans; two brothers, Frank and Bert Saunders; and one sister, Myrtle Wright.
