He was born in Wonewoc on June 11, 1935, son of the late Albert and Rosella (nee: Schulenburg) Kaske. He was a 1957 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a BA in Business Administration. Dale was united in marriage on June 22, 1957 to Audrey Stittleburg in St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Wonewoc. Most of his life he has lived in Racine. He was proud to have served our country in the Army Reserve from 1958-1964. Dale retired from the City of Racine in 1998, where he had worked as the administrative manager for the Water and Waste Water Utility. He had also been employed with Walker Manufacturing, Western Publishing, Great Northern Company, and JI Case. He most enjoyed being with Audrey, traveling, cross-country skiing, bird watching, and golfing. Dale was an active member of Epiphany Lutheran Church, where he served as treasurer. He will be dearly missed by his wife of nearly 50 years, Audrey; and by his brother, Donald (Gail) Kaske; nieces and nephew, Kelly Brockmeyer, Kristi (Brian) Sullivan, and Kent Kaske; grand nieces, Baylee and Payton Sullivan; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Agnes Stittleburg, Pearl Phillippi, Mary Dvorak, Ardith (Robert) Hosking, and Gordon (Jeanie) Stittleburg. In addition, he will be greatly missed by Audrey’s nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. He was also preceded by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Willis and LaVera Stittleburg, Maurice Stittleburg, Walter Phillippi, and Adolph Dvorak. In accordance to Dale’s wishes cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2005 in Epiphany Lutheran Church with Rev. Michael D. Zarling officiating. Visitation will begin in the church at 9:30 a.m.

Audrey was born in LaValle, WI on September 1, 1935 to the late James and Ella (nee: Placheka) Stittleburg. She received her B.A. from Alverno College in Milwaukee. Audrey was united in marriage in 1957 to Dale Kaske at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Wonewoc, WI. Dale passed away on January 27, 2007.

Audrey was employed in administrative positions at Western Publishing for 36 years and by Bank of Elmwood / Tri-City National Bank for another 16 years, until she retired. She was a longtime member of Epiphany Lutheran Church, now known as Water of Life Lutheran Church. Audrey volunteered as a tutor for the Racine Literacy Council and loved worldwide traveling with her beloved Dale.

Surviving are her brother, Gordon (Jean) Stittleburg; sister-in-law, Agnes Stittleburg; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents & husband, Audrey was preceded in death by her brothers, Willis and Maurice Stittleburg; and sisters, Pearl Phillippi, Mary Dvorak and Ardith Hosking.

Memorial Services will be held in Water of Life Lutheran Church, 2921 Olive Street in Racine, on Saturday, September 3, 2022, at 11 am with Rev. Michael D. Zarling officiating. A luncheon will follow. Visitation will be in the church on Saturday, September 3rd, from 9:00 – 11:00 am.

Mrs. Kaske was proud of her work at All Saints where she was a labor and delivery nurse in the St. Luke’s Health Pavilion. She enjoyed golfing with Don; bowling with her friends; and loved animals. She’ll be remembered by her family as an amazing mother and grandmother who participated in every part of their lives. She was a member of St. Rita Catholic Church for many years.

Gail is survived by her children: Kelly Brockmeyer of Milwaukee, Kristi (Brian) Sullivan of Racine, and Kent (Desiree) Kaske of Woodbury, Minnesota; grandchildren: Baylee, Payton, and Brianna Sullivan, and Emma and Kate Kaske; brothers: Gary (Char) Hiller of Slinger, and Glenn (Cindy) Hiller of Grafton; and sister-in-law: Audrey Kaske of Racine. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends can meet in St. Rita’s Catholic Church (4339 Douglas Avenue) for visitation on Wednesday, April 16, 2014, from 10:30 a.m. -11:30 a.m., with her funeral mass to follow at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. Kevin C. Mullins, O.S.A. officiating.

She was born on May 2, 1926, at River Falls, the daughter of Will and Elizabeth (Wienkers) Haugh. Monica and her family moved to Reedsburg in 1930. She attended grade school at age four and was a 1943 graduate of Reedsburg High School. She then worked as a secretary at the garment factory. On June 22, 1944, she was married to Wilbert "Bill" Roecker. They farmed until 1986 at which time they moved to Reedsburg. Monica was active in the Sauk County Homemakers, Catholic Daughters and she was instrumental in helping found the Sacred Heart School Endowment Fund. She also enjoyed making quilts, cake decorating and many other crafts. Monica was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She also had a strong faith in her Savior who led her to her eternal home in heaven. Survivors include her husband, Wilbert "Bill" Roecker; four sons, Jim (Shirley) of Reedsburg, Ron of Columbus, Ohio, Larry (Barb) of Rock Springs, and Peter (Jacquie) of Reedsburg; four daughters, Jean (Marvin) Holtz of Rock Springs, Mary Jo (Tom) Doepke of North Freedom, Linda (Steve) Behn of Reedsburg, and Susan (Dan) DeBaets of Reedsburg; 21 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Margaret (George) Johansen of Lancaster, Mary Grauvogl of Cleveland, Ohio, and Anna Meyer of Dubuque, Iowa; a sister-in-law, Angeline Roecker of Reedsburg; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Bill Haugh; and three brothers-in-law, Everett Grauvogl, James Meyer and Gerhardt Roecker. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, March 2, 2007, at SACRED HEART CATHOLIC CHURCH in Reedsburg with Father Thomas Monaghan officiating. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 1, 2007, at the HOOF FUNERAL HOME in Reedsburg. There will be a Catholic Daughters rosary prayed at 3:30 p.m. immediately followed by a Scripture Service on Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Sacred Heart School Endowment Fund or Home Health Hospice would be appreciated. The Hoof Funeral Home is serving the family.
