He was a successful farmer who took great pride in running the family farm business and for his agricultural accomplishments. As a lifelong resident of Cazenovia he enjoyed being involved in the Weston School Sports programs, the ATV Club and had a passion for giving back to the community. He was proud of his children and family whom he loved dearly as well as the numerous friends he made during his lifetime. He was married to Linda Lacy on September 23, 1989 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Reedsburg. Their marriage was blessed with two children. Linda preceded him in death on September 26, 2011. He was also preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his children: Nate Duren and Lacy Duren both of Cazenovia

The Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. in Holy Family Catholic Church, LaValle with Fr. Lorin Bowens officiating. Burial will follow in St. Anthony’s Catholic Cemetery, Cazenovia. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4-8 P.M. at the Cazenovia Chapel with a Vigil Prayer service being prayed at 3:45 P.M. and again on Wednesday at Holy Family Catholic Church from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. The family requests memorials of remembrance be made in lieu of flowers.

On September 23, 1989, Linda was united in marriage to Timothy Duren at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Reedsburg, WI. This marriage was blessed with two children. Linda was employed as a bookkeeper through the years and worked at Chiquoine and Krueger Law Office, Hankscraft, Moy, Borchert and Erbs, and recently at Addison Machine, all in Reedsburg. Linda loved spending time with her family. She attended all the sporting events her children participated in and was an active supporter of the Weston Wrestling and Football Clubs. In her free time she enjoyed restoring antiques, and home improvements.

She also took pride in her yard and flower gardens.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Linda R. Duren will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 30, 2011, at Holy Family Catholic Church, LaValle, WI, with Father Lorin Bowens officiating. Burial will follow in St. Anthony’s Catholic Cemetery, Germantown. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Cazenovia Chapel in Cazenovia where the Rosary will be prayed at 7:30 PM. Friends may also call on Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the church. Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.

She was born on Sept. 8, 1920, in Bear Valley, the daughter of William and Bessie (McCarville) Dwyer. On Aug. 14, 1946, she was united in marriage to Everett H. Fry. Jeanne was a mother and teacher not only to her family, but to everyone who knew her. She died with the same grace and dignity with which she had lived her life. Survivors include nine children, Robert Fry and his special friend, Barb Schwinn of Oregon, Mary (Joseph) Fish of Reedsburg, Ruth (Donald) Thayer of Cazenovia, James (Nancy) Fry of Reedsburg, Betty (Elgie) Bendorf of Reedsburg, Sharon (Thomas) Pasic of Madison, Raymond (Kay) Fry of Reedsburg, Ellen (John) Soltwedel of Hillpoint, and Terrance (Kristin) Fry of Reedsburg; 18 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two brothers-in-law, Wayne Fry of Baraboo, and Lawrence (Avis) Fry of Reedsburg; a sister-in-law, Betty (Emmett) Schulz of Stoughton; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett, on July 7, 1999; her parents; a brother, Bill Dwyer; and a sister, Eulalia Fargen. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 26, 2006, at ST. PATRICK'S CATHOLIC CHURCH in Loreto with Father Lorin Bowens and Father Randy Timmerman concelebrating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Sunday at the HOOF FUNERAL HOME in Reedsburg where a Scripture service will be held at 4 p.m. There will also be a visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday at the church. The Hoof Funeral Home is serving the family.
