Services will be conducted in the Turner chapel at 1:30 p.m. Monday by the Rev. Leonard Deaver and Crescent lodge. Burial will be in Cedar Memorial cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel. All Master Masons are asked to meet with Crescent lodge at 1 p.m. Monday at the Masonic hall to attend the services.

In 1920 he moved with his parents to a farm near Draper, SD. As a youth, Louis worked on his parents farm and spent a couple years working at Groff's vegetable farm on the White River. He attended school in the Draper area.

On November 10, 1935 Louie married Kathryn Groff in Murdo, SD. Louis and Kathryn worked in the Groff Grocery Store in Murdo for four years until 1939. Between 1939 and 1941 Louis and Kathryn purchased a bowling alley in Onida, SD and later in Hettinger, ND.

After a short stay in California, Louie and Kathryn returned to Draper where they farmed a few years until 1949. In 1949 they built a service station and cafe in Draper which they operated for 26 years. Upon retirement, Louis and Kathryn spent a year in Denver and in 1976 moved to Pierre, SD.

Survivors include his wife, five sons, Lowell, Gary, Larry, Neil and Lee, one daughter Gayle; ten grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Henry in 1954 and Ella in 1957, a brother Bill in 1978 and infant sister Rose Marie and a grandson.

During her childhood she was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. On April 27, 1888, she was united in marriage to Fred Frohreich and to this union six children were born, three sons and three daughters. In 1893 the family moved to Charles Mix County and homesteaded on a farm seven miles east of Geddes. Her husband passed away on December 16, 1906 and two sons died in infancy. On May 24 (1941) at one p.m. she passed away, after ten years of ill health. She leaves to mourn her departure one son and three daughters; Paul Frohreich of Phoenix, Oregon, Mrs. Chris Larson of Alcester, So Dak., Mrs. L. Mikkelsen and Martha of Geddes, S. D; also two sisters and one brother; Mrs. Lane Sickman of Yankton S. D., Mrs. Mary Reimer of Breckenridge, Okla., and M. J. Mader of Lake Andes also ten grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. The funeral was held May 27 with Rev. G. V. Kohlstedt officiating at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church and burial was made in St. Paul's Cemetery.

22 December 1915home of bride's mother, near Armour, Charles Mix, South DakotaShe witnessed the marriage of Louise Christine Frohreich and Chris Larson on 22 December 1915 at home of bride's mother, near Armour, Charles Mix, South Dakota; Married at the home of the bride's mother, Mrs. S. Frohriech, December 22, at 3 o'clock, her daughter, Louise Christine to Chris Larson. Rev. Friedrickson, of Armour, pronouncing the words that made them man and wife. The wedding was a pretty one. The bride charmingly gowned in white silk trimmed with fur and lace and a veil and carried a wreath and carried a bouquet of white and yellow chrysanthemums. The bridesmaid, a sister of the bride, wore a gown of blue silk trimmed in white embroidery. The groom and his best man, brother of the bride, wore blue serge. There were 130 guests present including Mrs. H. Reimer and son, Willie from Oklahoma, Mrs. Lena Sikmann, of Yankton, both sisters of Mrs. Frohreich, Salma and Walter Fiddler, Charley Holtz and Franky Rempp, of Mission Hill, cousins of the bride. A splendid wedding feast was served at 6 o'clock in the evening. Many valuable present were received by the young couple. The afternoon was spent very socially and in the evening, a dance was given in honor of the marriage. The bride few to womanhood in Charles Mix County and has numerous friends here. The groom also few to manhood in this county and is an industrious young man. They will reside on a farm east of Geddes. The newlyweds left Thursday for Harrison, Nebraska, where they will spend their honeymoon visiting at the home of the grooms parents. We wish to join with friends in extending congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Larson and wish them a long and prosperous life. They expect to be home after February 1st.7

1936In 1936 Sorrow has entered in the family of Mr. and Mrs. M. J. Mader, Sr. quite often recently (1936). The Maders are old time pioneers of Yankton and Charles Mix Counties. The deaths follow: A brother George Mader passed away of heart trouble at Yankton August 17, 1935 at the age of 59 years. A sister, Mrs. Fred Feiddler (Fiedler) passed away at Yankton on April 27, 1936 at the age of 67 years; A brother Henry Mader passed away at Yankton May 8, 1936; A daughter, Mrs. Wm. Martens of Platte passed away March 1, 1935; Mr. Mader has only three sisters who are living: Mrs. Henry Rheiner of Enig Okla; Mrs. Lena Sickmann of Yankton; and Mrs. Sarah Frohreich of Lake Andes, the latter has been an invalid for the past 6 years. Mr. Mader, Sr. will be 72 years old this October. He has lived at Geddes and in Charles Mix County for the past 42 years.
