Meyer on October 6, 1939 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Loganville. Zita and Gerhardt farmed the Meyer Family farm from 1942 until Gerhardt's death on November 14, 1985. Zita was a faithful member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Loganville, their choir, Ladies Aid and served on the church council for 6 years. She was the secretary of Luther League when it was organized in November 1931. Her priorities were her family and her church. Zita was also preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Paul Soltwedel, a half brother, Oscar Lindenberg and her sister, Ellen Behnke. She is survived by her children; Sharon (Ernie) Thieding of McFarland, Gerald (Karen) Meyer of Prairie View, IL, Julaine Meyer of Reedsburg, Gary Meyer of Richmond, VA, Richard (Sandy) Meyer of Tallahassee, FL, Bonnie (Brian) Hauke of Waunakee; 12 grandchildren: Darren (Nikki) Thieding, Dawn Thieding, Kristin Thieding, Kurt Thieding, Mary (Don) Walz, Jon Meyer, Tina (Kurt) Grelman, Tracy Geffert, Emily Meyer, Rebecca Meyer, Brittney Hauke and Brianna Hauke; four great grandchildren: Tyler Thieding, Haley Greiman, Abigail Greiman and Bradley Walz; her sister-in-law: Irene Soltwedel of Cazenovia; many nieces, nephews along with other relatives and friends. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Boaz, the Ladies Aid Society of St. Paul's, Lutheran Women's Missionary League, Dayton Homemakers and Women's Club. On Oct. 24, 1987, she married Mills Wanless and together they lived in Richland Center. During the late summer of 2000, Mills and Norma moved to Pine Valley Health Care Center, Richland Center. She is survived by her husband, Mills of Richland Center; two sons, John (Betty) Huth of Richland Center, and Carl (Susan) Huth of Richland Center; three daughters, Alma Jurgensen of Richland Center, Mary (John) Honer of Cazenovia, and Rosie (Ron) Steinmetz of Richland Center; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; five stepchildren, Beth Ann (Matthew) Zentner of Richland Center, Donnie (Alene) Wanless of Richland Center, Cheryl Stanley of Richland Center, Caryl (Barry) Beaty of Fort Collins, Colo., and Diane (Vern) Dalberg of Blue River; 14 step grandchildren; 30 step great-grandchildren; three step great- great-grandchildren; a brother, Harold (Mary Lou) Soltwedel of Richland Center; and two sisters, Elaine Schmitt of Oconomowoc, and Mary (Chuck) Barnett of Lone Rock. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Arthur Soltwedel. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, April 19, 2007, at the PRATT MEMORIAL CHAPEL in Richland Center. The Rev. Frederick Davison will officiate with burial in the Dayton Corners Cemetery in Richland County. Harold owned and operated Blickem and Soltwedel Refrigeration and Appliance for many years. He was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, the American Legion, and 40et8. Harold enjoyed going to the boys basketball tournament every year. Harold is survived by his wife of 69 years Mary; four daughters, Judy Drury of Madison, Janet Stiklestad of Madison, Jean (Gary) Patch of Sun Prairie, Jacki (Dean) Boes of Lake Mills; seven grandchildren, Paula, Wendy, Chad, Karen, Brian, Megan, Sara; ten great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; two sisters, Mary (Chuck) Barnett of Lone Rock, and Elaine Schmitt of Oconomowoc; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Harold was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Arthur; and sister, Norma. Funeral services will be held on Monday, Nov. 3, 2008, at 11 a.m. at the PRATT MEMORIAL CHAPEL with Pastor Frederick Davidson officiating. Burial will be held at the Richland Center Cemetery with military graveside rites provided by the Local Military Memorial Honors Unit. MARTIN HASZ This whole community was greatly grieved Sunday morning when word came that Mrs. Emma Giffert Hasz Hasz formerly of Granton, and well known by the whole community had passed away at a hospital at Seymour, Ind., Saturday night, April 13, 1935, with heart complications. Mrs. Hasz had reached the age of 64 years. She was born in Reedsburg, March 5, 1871, where she was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith there. She was united in marriage Sept. 14, 1898, Rev. Martin Hasz. They moved to Granton in 1912 where he was pastor in the Zion Evangelical Lutheran church, Granton, for 13 years. In 1925, he had a call from Luxemburg, so they moved there where he was a pastor until his death in 1929. To this union 10 children were born. After his death, Mrs. Hasz has lived with her daughter, Mrs. Gilbert Glaeser, in Milwaukee. In 1934 she moved to Seymour, Ind., and lived with her sons, Rev. Gerhardt Hasz, and Armin until her death. Surviving are the following children: Rev. Gerhardt Hasz and Armin Hasz of Seymour, Ind., Rev. Nicholas Hasz, Oklahoma; Richard Hasz, Springfield, Ill., Martin Hasz, of Boston, Mass., Ruth (Mrs. Gilbert Glaeser), and Elmer of Milwaukee; Lydia (Mrs. Gerhardt Koldeway), Fort Wayne, Ind., Clara (Mrs. Paul Peters), Luemburg. One daughter Hannah, preceded her in death in 1932. Eight grandchildren also survive as well as one brother and four sisters and mny other relatives and friednds. Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at Luxemburg, St. Paul Lutheran church. Interment beside here husband and daughter. The deepest sympathy of the community goes to the bereaved ones.

Services Conducted Today at Dudleytown for Mrs. Emma Hasz, Widow of Minister. Funeral services for Mrs. Emma Hasz, age sixty-three, mother of the Rev. Gerhart Hasz, pastor of the Dudleytown Lutheran Church, were conducted at 10 o'clock this morning from the Dudleytown Lutheran Church with the Rev. J. Th. Destinon, pastor of the Sauers Lutheran Church in charge. Burial will be at Luxenberg, Wisconsin. Mrs. Hasz died at 8 o'clock Saturday night at Schneck Memorial Hospital here where she had been taken in a critical condition. She had been ill for about three weeks with a complication of diseases. Mrs. Hasz was born on March 5, 1872, at Reedsburg, Wisconsin, the daughter of John and Dorothia Dargo Geffert. She was married in 1898 at Reedsburg to the Rev. Martin J. Hasz; who died in 1929. She moved to Jackson County about two years ago when her son became pastor of the Dudleytown church and during her short residence here, made many friends throughout the county who mourn her death. Four of her six sons who survive her are ministers. She was an active member of the Lutheran Church. Mrs. Hasz is survived by nine children, Mrs. Gilbert Glaeser, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; the Rev. Mr. Hasz, of Dudleytown; Mrs. Gerhard Koldeway, of Fort Wayne, Indiana; Mrs. Paul Peters, of Luxenberg, Wisconsin; the Rev. Nichalas Hasz, of Pawhuska, Oklahoma; the Rev. Richard Hasz, of St. Louis, Missouri; the Rev. Martin Hasz, of Boston, Mass; Elmer Hasz, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Armin Hasz, of Dudleytown. A brother, Louis Geffert, of Madison, Wisconsin, and four sisters, Mrs. A. G. Pittelkow, of Detroit, Michigan; Mrs. Harold Smithson, of Portland, Oregon and Misses Martha and Matilda Geffert, of Glendale, California.

Mr. Judd, 80 years old, former Joplin city sanitary inspector, died at 12:55 o'clock Sunday afternoon in St. John's hospital where he had been a patient since suffering a stroke March 22 in this home, 622 Empire avenue.

He was appointed sanitary inspector in 1946 under the administration of Dr. V. F. Kenney, then commissioner of health and sanitation, and served in that capacity until September, 1954. Prior to holding that position he had been employed at the city market for some 11 years as market master.

Before coming to Joplin, he had been employed by the Long-Bell Lumber Company in Baxter Springs. When he first came to Joplin, he was engaged in the grocery business with his father-in-law, George Justice, in a store on West Seventh street. He was a member of the First Community church.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Lula Judd; a son, Earl Judd of Omaha, Neb; and a daughter, Mrs. Theodore Irwin of Chicago.
