Florence will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 51 years, Roger and her children, Craig (JaNeal) and Chris (Lori). Florence will also be affectionately remembered by her four grandchildren, Emily, Cody, Audrey and Ryan. Florence was proceeded in death by her parents Otto and Melvina Schrank, sister Carlotta Treptow and brother Carl Schrank. She is survived and will be missed by her bother Edwin Schrank and many brother and sister in laws, nieces and nephews. Florence will also be missed by many childhood, work and family friends.

Florence grew up in the LaValle, Wisconsin area. Florence and Roger moved from Reedsburg, WI to Mesa, Arizona in 1976. Florence was the Production Control Manager at Phoenix Manufacturing for over 35 years.

A Celebration of Florence’s life will be held at 2:00 pm on January 15, 2019 at Mariposa Garden, 400 S Power Road, Mesa, AZ. There will be a Celebration of Life this summer in Wisconsin, details to be provided.

Following June's death, he returned to the LaValle area. He then worked at Land's End and more recently at the Reedsburg Area Senior Life Center. Carl was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in LaValle. He was a Milwaukee Brewers and Green Bay Packers fan, enjoyed listening to country music and traveling. He was also preceded in death by his parents; and a stepson, Darren Kowalke. Survivors include his wife, Joan; son, Jason Schrank of Blue Mounds; stepchildren, David (Candy) Kowalke of Rock Springs and stacie (Patrick) John of Reedsburg; Joan's son, Matt Mittelstaedt of Portage; ten grandchildren, Olivia, David, Samantha, Brandon, Alesha, Dillan, Kenturah, Lourdis and Savannah; brother, Edwin (Mary) of Edgerton; two sisters, Florence (Roger) Hale of Mesa, AZ and Carlotta (Herb) Treptow of Orrington, ME; brother-in-law, Jim (Audrey) Patrick of Reedsburg; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She was born June 6, 1949, to Otto and Melvina Schrank. She married Herbert Treptow on June 20, 1970, and together they made their home and raised their family on La Valle Street in La Valle. Carlotta worked at Hankscraft in Reedsburg for several years and worked at Seats Inc. from 1982-2006. She and Herb moved to Maine in 2006 to be near their first grandchild. Since moving to Maine she had enjoyed being with her family and grandchildren, knitting, crocheting, reading and staying loyal to her Green Bay Packers.

She is survived by her husband Herb of 47 years; daughters, Kelli (Corey) Veilleux of Bucksport, Maine, Tracy Treptow of Orrington, Maine; grandchildren, Emma and Grant Veilleux of Bucksport, Maine; brother Edwin Schrank of Edgerton; sister Florence (Roger) Hale of Mesa, Arizona; sisters-in-law, Joan Schrank of Wonewoc, Sheila Gibeaut of Reedsburg, Nancy (Theron) Moore of LaFarge; brothers-in-law, Curt (Rita) Miller of Wonewoc, Dean (Tammy) Miller of Wonewoc; many nieces, nephews; cousins and other family and special friends.

She was predeceased by her parents; twin brother Carl Schrank; and sister-in-law Mary Schrank.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017, at Zion Lutheran Church in La Valle. A celebration of life potluck luncheon will follow at Summit Park on Highway 58 in Wonewoc.

He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Joslyn, Mrs. Anna Kranske and Mrs. Frances Warner of Chicago, and four sons, George of Pensacola, Fla., Matt of Athens, Wis., Peter of Wonewoc and Robert of Nekoosa.

She was the daughter of Edward William and Rose Ann (Ennis) Solchenberger, born on March 30, 1914 in Plum Valley, Township of Woodland, Sauk County, Wisconsin.

She attended County Corners Grade School in Plum Valley and graduated from Wonewoc High School in 1932. She was employed as a waitress in Reedsburg and Florida for several years.

Later, she was employed at the hammock factory, St. Clare Hospital and St. Vincent de Paul in Baraboo. Irene was united in marriage to Edmund E. Kroeger on Feb. 25, 1952 at Sacred Heart Rectory in Reedsburg.

They lived all their married lives in Baraboo. She was a longtime member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Baraboo, where she spent many hours making quilts for the missions.

Irene moved to Wonewoc in 1990 and was a member of St. Jerome's Catholic Church. She loved to travel and enjoyed visiting with relatives and friends. Irene was a happy person who enjoyed her life.

Irene is survived by a sister-in-law, Dolores Solchenberger of Union Center; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edmund on Dec. 2, 1984; her parents; a sister, Regina Herrewig; and two brothers, James and Edward.

The Mass of Christian Burial for Irene Kroeger will be conducted on Saturday, April 4, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. in St. Jerome's Catholic Church, Wonewoc with Father Joseph Nakwah officiating. Burial will be made in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Baraboo. Friends may call on Saturday at St. Jerome's Catholic Church in Wonewoc from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m.

The Thompson Funeral Home in Wonewoc is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Death20 October 2004James Edward Solchenberger died on 20 October 2004 at age 83 James Edward Solchenberger, 83, of Union Center died Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2004, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Hillsboro. He was born on March 6, 1921, in the town of Woodland, Sauk County, Wis., to Edward and Rose (Ennis) Solchenberger. On Aug. 28, 1946, he was united in marriage to Betty Ann Carpenter at St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Union Center. Following their marriage they lived on the Solchenberger farm in Plum Valley until moving to Union Center. He was a member of St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Union Center and St. Jerome's Catholic Church in Wonewoc. Jim drove semi trucks for more than 40 years with Heding Truck Service, Quality Carriers and Korth Transfer. He was also employed for a short time with his father-in-law, Clifford Carpenter for Ryan Construction. After his retirement in 1988, he worked part-time for Spring Valley Golf Course, Hillsboro Co-op and Grande Cheese Company. James proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and was a World War II veteran. He saw action in the European Theatre of Operations. Jim was a member of the Union Center American Legion Post 504 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post in Camp Douglas, Wis. He was also a member of Knights of Columbus Council 4295 in Union Center, where he was awarded for 47 years of loyal and faithful service. He was especially fond of Pete Gnirk and Charles Herrewig for their friendship and support. The family would like to give special thanks to P.A. Tom Franke, Dr. Sandyha Shah, and the staff at St. Joseph Hospital for their kindness and care. Jim is survived by his wife, Betty A. Solchenberger of Union Center; five children, Cheryl (Harold) Thompson of Wonewoc, Lawrence (Kathy) Solchenberger of Sauk City, Lynette (the Rev. John) Wille of Tomah, Wis., Thomas (Darcy) Solchenberger of Wonewoc, Daniel (Lisa) Solchenberger of Davenport, Iowa; 18 grandchildren, Tamara (Scott) Gruen, Melissa (Patrick) Stanek, Lincoln Thompson, John-Paul Thompson, Laurie Solchenberger, Ryan, Solchenberger, Arron Solchenberger, Jessica Wille, Sarah (Paul) Hasbrook, Laura Wille, Seth Schultz, Rebecca Solchenberger, Dustin Solchenberger, Megan Solchenberger, Jordan Solchenberger, Paige Solchenberger, Elizabeth Solchenberger, and Hannah Solchenberger; six great-grandchildren, Brett, Allyson and Tyler Stanek, Joshua, Jacob and Jonah Gruen; a brother, Edward (Dolores) Solchenberger of Union Center; a sister, Irene Kroeger of Wonewoc; nieces and nephews, along with other relatives and friends. His parents and a sister, Regina Herrewig, preceded him in death. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 23, at St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Union Center, with Father Wayne Kidd officiating. Burial will follow in St. Theresa's Catholic Cemetery with graveside military rites conducted by the Union Center American Legion Post 504. Friends may call on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home, Wonewoc. A scripture prayer service will be conducted at 7:45 p.m. to be followed by a Knights of Columbus rosary. Thompson Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

He was born Jan. 29, 1928, in the Township of Woodland, Sauk County, the son of Edward W. and Roseanne (Ennis) Solchenberger. He grew up on his parent's farm, helping with the farm work. He went to school at the County Corners Country School. Ed served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1946 to 1948. He was a veteran of World War II, with most of his active duty in Guam. Upon his return from the Navy, he was united in marriage to Dolores E. Stull, the daughter of William and Thelma (Snyder) Stull, on April 10, 1948, at St. Jerome's Catholic Church in Wonewoc. He was an over the road semi driver most of his life. In that time he drove for Hart Transfer, Korth Transfer, Werner Continental, but most of his career was spent at Heding Truck Service. After his retirement, he worked for the Hillsboro Farmers Coop and also for the Village of Union Center. Ed enjoyed cutting wood, gardening, yard work watching birds and he treasured his family, friends and neighbors. He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Jerome's Catholic Church and St. Theresa's Catholic Church. He served for many years on the St. Theresa's Catholic Cemetery Board. He will be missed greatly by all who knew him, because anyone who knew him loved him as much as his family loved him. Ed wished to be an organ and tissue donor and his wishes were respected by his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, James; a sister, Regina Herrewig; and brothers-in-law, Everett Herrewig, Edward Kroeger, Roland Kimball, Donald Wenzel, Frank Stage and Lawrence Peterson. He is survived by his wife, Dolores; children, William E. (Bess) Solchenberger of Union Center, Diana Hubbard of Reedsburg and Darcy Kaske (Glen Chamberlain) of Mauston; four grandchildren, Michael (Janyce) Hubbard, Dawn Solchenberger, Sean Kaske and William F. Solchenberger; six great-grandchildren, Domeneck Solchenberger, Breanna and Mason Kaske and Olivia, Benjamin and Hannah Hubbard; sister, Irene Kroeger; five sisters-in-law, Betty Solchenberger, Donna Stage, Audrey Stull, Dorothy Kimball and Constance Wenzel; special friends, Ron and Gisela Hubbard; and many nieces, nephews and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 5, 2007, at ST. THERESA'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, in Union Center, with Father Joseph Nakwah officiating. Friends may call from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 4, 2007, at the THOMPSON FUNERAL HOME, in Wonewoc. A Vigil Prayer Service will be held at 6:45 p.m. followed by a KC Rosary. Burial will be in St. Theresa's Catholic Cemetery in Union Center. Graveside military rites will be conducted by the Wonewoc American Legion Post 206.
