Marriage20 February 1917Rosina Josephine Bubs married Alfred August Klemme, son of August Klemme and Wilhelmine A. Buehre, on 20 February 1917 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Akron, Iowa, The marriage of Mr. Alfred Klemme and Miss Rosina Bubs was solemnized at the Akron German Lutheran church on Tuesday, February 20, 1917, at 1:30 p.m., in the presence of relatives and a large assemblage of friends. The pastor, Rev. F. A. Meske, officiated, conducting the nuptial service in English. The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Lydia Bubs, and the groom by his brother, Elmer Klemme. Miss Frances Meske played the wedding march, "Bridal Chimes." The bride was most becomingly attired in white messaline, with pearl and silver trimming, and wore a tulle veil and wreath of orange blossoms. Her maid was gowned in white allover net embroidery. Following the ceremony, a sumptuous wedding dinner was partaken of by the near relatives of the contracting parties at the home of the groom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Aug. Klemme, of this city. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Bubs, near Spink, S.D. She is a young woman of pleasant personality and is endowed with many useful attainments. For the past two years she has been employed in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bonney, of this place, during which time she has also been ticket seller at the Majestic theatre. He has conducted a photograph studio and the Majestic theatre in this city during the past four or five years and has made a
success in these lines. Both young people are deservedly popular in a wide circle of friends, who offer congratulations and wishes for a long and happy life companionship. Mr. and Mrs. Klemme at once began housekeeping in rooms adjoining the photographic studio.
Mr. Klemme gave a free show at the Majestic Tuesday evening on behalf of himself and bride, and a large number of people accepted and enjoyed their hospitality.

An unexplained tractor accident claimed the life of Wilmer C. Klemme, 43, shortly before noon Saturday (March 9, 1963). He suffered a fractured skull when the tractor he was driving went off the side of the road and tipped over.

The tragedy was discovered by the victim's son, who sought help immediately at the Eldon Bryant place across the road. The accident took place a short distance north of the Ruble corner some 13 miles west of LeMars.

Investigating officers said that Klemme was apparently driving south along the gravel road when for some reason the tractor veered to the right off the west side of the road, tipping over and pinning him. He was killed instantly according to Dr. Sherman, county medical examiner, who was called to the scene.

It was reported that Klemme had been grinding corn in a nearby field, and had pulled the grinder back to the farm. He was returning for the wagon load of corn when the mishap occurred.

Funeral services will be held at St. John Lutheran church at Craig, and burial will be in the church cemetery. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Ervin Schemmel and Maurer's funeral home is in charge of arrangements.

No date for the services has yet been set, pending notification of Mr.and Mrs. Alfred Klemme of their son's death. The parents are on a vacation trip in the Southwest, and had not been reached by early Monday afternoon. Wilmer Clarence Klemme was born October 15, 1919, in Johnson township and had resided in Plymouth county all his life. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred H. KLemme of Akron.

His marriage to the former Dorothy Baack took place August 31, 1947 at Craig.

He is survived by his wife, two sons, Terry and Steven at home, his parents and a brother, Gordon G. Klemme of Akron. An infant daugther preceded him in death.

He was a member of St. John Lutheran church at Craig, where he was a former member of the church council and past officer in the Brotherhood. A veteran of world war 2, he was a member of American Legion Hoschler post No., 185 at Akron.
