Charles B. Richardson died on 20 November 2006 at age 76 Charles D. "Chuck" Richardson, age 76, passed away at 11:03 p.m. November 20, 2006 at Mercy Medical Center in Dubuque; Dubuque County, Iowa. Funeral services will be held Saturday at the Mueller Memorial Chapel at 10:00 a.m. and will be laid to rest at Linwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 6:00p.m. on Friday at Behr's Funeral Home. Charles was born May 13, 1930 in Ridgeway, Harrison County, Missouri to James and Nancy (Runyon) Richardson. Chuck served with the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. He married Lucille McClain on June 30, 1950. She preceded him in death on Jan. 14, 1979. Chuck was formerly employed as a livestock buyer for the Dubuque Packing Company. He was currently employed as a route carrier for the Telegraph Herald. Chuck enjoyed cooking, playing Euchre and darts. He looked forward to breakfast at Breezy's. Charles was survived by Two Daughters: Patti K. (Dave) Schmelzer, Rickardsville; Dubuque County, Iowa. Sharon M. Peter, Dubuque; Dubuque County, Iowa. Three Grandchildren: Cole (Michelle) Schmelzer, Rickardsville; Dubuque County, Iowa; Wade (Lori) Schmelzer, Dubuque; Dubuque County, Iowa; Kim (Todd) Kerkenbush, Dubuque; Dubuque County, Iowa. Nine Great-grandchildren and longtime friend: Bernice M. "Bea" Bauer and her family. One Sister: Gayle Wigglesworth, Clarksdale; DeKalb County, Missouri. One Brother: Donald (Thelma) Richardson, Lawton; Comanche County, Oklahoma. Nieces, nephews and a host of friends and neighbors. He was preceded in death by: a Great-grandson, Eric Kerkenbush; four Sisters; Ruth Richardson, Bessie Brummet, Blanche Waterbury and Naomi Miller; and four Brothers: Roy, Arthur, Carl and Russell Richardson.

Anne Schmerbach died on 17 September 2023 at age 86 Ann McClain, 86, of Dubuque, Iowa passed away on September 17, 2023, surrounded by her family.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Friday, September 22, 2023, at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road where a funeral service will be at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Leah Barker officiating. A private family burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery.

Ann was born on January 17th, 1937, in Dubuque, Iowa, the daughter of Raymond & Gertrude (Winders) Schmerbach. She graduated from Senior High School and was united in marriage to Duane “Wayne” McClain on September 15, 1956.

She started her working career at Sears where she worked for 20 years and then was employed by the Archdiocese of Dubuque until her retirement at age 67.

Some of Ann’s greatest pastimes include gathering for bingo at the KC Hall on Thursday nights. Along with her husband, she enjoyed playing cards with friends/family and then after her husband’s passing played with her friends in a card club. She looked forward to her monthly luncheons with her brothers & sisters and also her Friday night dinners out. She liked to go on bus trips and try her luck at the casino. She loved life and the people around her. Ann was very proud of her children & their families. Her favorite saying was “Love you to the moon & back”.

She is survived by her three children, Ron "Jonesy" (Chris) McClain, Lori (Dennis) Weig of Dubuque, and Carol (Larry) Foht of Benton, WI. 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren & 1 great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by her brothers Buster (MaryJane) and David (Penny); sisters Rosie (Tex), and Mary; sisters-in-law Sally, Roberta & Betty and brother-in-law Mick and her life-long best friend, Jackie Larkin.

Ann was preceded in death by her husband Wayne, son Jerry, daughter Kathy and her husband Brian. Her sisters, Shirley, Marilyn and her husband Mac, and her brothers Bobby, Kenny & Skip and brother-in-law Ron Walters.
