He was born on April 23, 1936 in Lone Rock, WI the son of Fred and Julia (Kessenich) O’Donnell. Jim was married on April 22, 1961 to the former Helen C. Bray.

Jim had a kind heart, a great sense of humor, bright outlook on life and loved being around others. His greatest love was for his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include his 3 children, Jeff (Tammy) O’Donnell of Spring Green, Michele (Jon) Radlinger of Spring Green, Susan (Shane) Hatfield of Lone Rock, 4 grandsons, Nicholas, Jack, Dustin and Larry, a granddaughter, Lexi, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Julia O’Donnell, his wife, Helen O’Donnell, 3 brothers, Fred, William and Philip O’Donnell.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Boscobel, with the Rev. Robert Butz officiating. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Dubuque. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Kendall Funeral Home, Boscobel, where there will be a rosary at 7:30 p.m. She was born on Nov. 18 1921, in Fairplay, daughter of Charles and Mary (Kreiser) McClain. She married George Winders Sr. on Aug. 30 1941, in Dubuque; he preceded her in death on Nov. 14, 1951. She then married George "Chip" Chappell Jr. on June 20, 1953, in Dubuque He preceded her in death on Sept 25, 1994. . - She is survived by three sons, Thomas (Kathy) Chappell, Fennimore, Edward (Darcy) Chappell and Carlton (DeAnne) Chappell, both of Boscobel; five daughters, Sabina (Ben) Marshall aiid Mary Jo Kramer and friend Richard Mantz, both of ' Cedar Rapids, la., Ann (David) Keller, Tonganoxie, Kans., Donna (Jeff) Young, Boscobel,' Romona (Oran) Pape Dyersville, la; 32 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren; two daughters-in-law, Julie Winders, Livingston, and Mickie Winders, Dubuque, la. She was preceded in death by two sons, George Winders Jr. and James Winders; an infant granddaughter, Wendy Hinkel; along with four brothers and four sisters. A Mass of Christian burial, was held on Wednesday, March 30 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Boscobel. Father Robert Butz officiated with burial in the Mt. Calvery Cemetery in Dubuque, la. Memorials may be give to the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Boscobel or the Grant County Hospice.

Donna was a volunteer at Calvert Memorial Hospital at the information desk for over 20 years and she also volunteered at the Visitor's Center in Solomons. When not involved in community activities, she liked to sew and crochet. Donna is survived by her son, Paul (Lynn) King, Jr. of Ormond Beach, FL; daughters, Trudy (Cliff) Pumphrey of Huntingtown, MD, Debra (Glenn) Clavio of Apollo Beach, FL and Cynthia (James) Rackley of Prince Frederick, MD; six grandchildren, Christine Houghton, Melissa Jetmore, Sarah Ellis, Anthony Clavio and Amanda and Cassandra King; 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. In addition to her parents, Donna was predeceased by her husband, Paul King; son, Gary King and her eight siblings.
