Surviving are one sister, Lois (Estel) Rex of Mulberry; daughter-in-law, Sylvia Kirkman; grandchildren, Travis Kirkman, Jacob Kirkman, Nick Kirkman, Caleb Kirkman, and Issac Kirkman; four great grandchildren; special friend, Connie Carlson of Frankfort; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Mildred is preceded in death by her parents, sons, Jerry Kirkman and Dennis Kirkman; daughter, Karen Harris; and brother, Gerald Lykken. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 14, 2016, at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort, from 1:00 p.m. to the start of the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Phil Whisler will officiate. Burial will follow in Green Lawn Cemetery.

Chester Roy Newbold died on 7 August 2004 at age 86 Chester Roy Newbold, who was born in Beresford, S.D., on Sept. 6, 1917, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, Aug. 7, 2004. His death was brought on by complications with an aortic aneurysm.
A man of deep faith and loyalty to his local church, Chester was one of the youngest to achieve the position of Railroad Conductor, a profession that spanned 33 years of loyal service with the Nickel Plate and, later, Norfolk and Western railroads out of Frankfort, Ind.
As well as being a lifelong member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen, Chester also was a long-standing member of the Masonic Lodge, achieving the 32nd degree.
His greatest joy and unsurpassed pride was in the family that he and his wife, Deloris, loved and raised throughout the nearly 65 years of marriage.
Chester and Deloris lived most of their lives in Frankfort, and later, Jefferson, Ind. They resided in retirement in both Logansport and Gulfport, Miss., before moving to Wake Forest, N.C. in 1996.
He is survived by his cherished wife and their four children, son David and his wife, Elaine, Arvada, Colo; his daughter Pamela and her husband, Rick Brewer, Noblesville; son Tim and his wife, Chris, Bunn, N.C; and son Mark and his wife, Cindy, Wake Forest, N.C.
Chester also is survived by 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Three sisters, Ethel Boyd, Goldie Lykken and Fern Lykken; and two brothers, Jennings Newbold and Russell Newbold; and one daughter, Sandra, preceded in death.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, in Triangle Bible Church, 2309 Laurelbrook St., Raleigh, N.C. 27604.
Interment will be in Wake Forest Cemetery.

Virgil Martin Wilson died on 30 September 1935 at Tacoma, Pierce, Washington, at age 40 Virgil M Wilson of Tacoma State Commander Dies Following Operation - Virgil M Wilson 42 of Tacoma state commander of the Disabled American Veterans of the World War died Monday at 5:40 pm at the Marina hospital in Beattie following a major operation performed last Thursday. He was born in Jasper county Ia. After serving in the 88th division overseas during the World war, Wilson returned here where he was active in Veterans affairs. He was elected state commander last June at the convention in Longview. He was a past commander of Tacoma chapter No 1 Disabled American Veterans and a member of Edward B Rhodes post American Legion and Wild West post No 91 V F W. Byron W Yaden of Yakima automatically became department commander on Wilson’s death. Surviving are his wife Olga daughter Viola 14, two sons Melvin 12, and Luverne 11, his parents and several brothers and sisters in Sioux Falls, S D. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p m at the Buckley King funeral church followed by a military service at the graveside. Burial will be in the Veterans’ cemetery at Mountain View.
